Your hands grasp at me and I feel myself sinking
You drag me down to keep yourself afloat and I feel the water slowly fill my lungs
You hold onto me as if you're holding onto yourself
And I don't fight back because I need you safe
It feels like bricks are tied to my feet
Pulling me further and further down
Until the blackness and waves consumes me
And the freezing water hides the stars
All I feel are your hands holding me under
But I won't fight against any of this
Because if I lose you, I lose everything
And the fear of losing you is stronger than the fear of losing my life
So I let myself be overcome
By the raging sea that is so often called love

PoetryThese are poems I wrote when I couldn't sleep. Most are from the view of one of my characters, but some are from my view. I hope you enjoy the sleep-deprived ramblings of an isolated teen.
