"So you told him?", she asked sobbing or pretending to sob, he couldn't tell. He had known her for soo long but she still remained unpredictable.
"Aren't you going to answer me?", she prodded. Now the tears were rolling faster than he had expected. Was she being real or was she faking it?, he wondered effortlessly.
"He's gone for good Kylie, accept that.", he lied without emotion. But Kylie could read him like a book and for once she felt glad he had just lied to her. Now she smiled within knowing Chris was still around and she would keep him no matter what.
"Ok, let's be together.", she announced smiling. Her smile was so real, Seth believed her. However, he knew he had to be careful.

The bus rode on soundlessly through 5th Avenue street. Kylie was propped at the backseat, head out the window staring as the houses moved past fast. Now she was really confused about what had happened the night before. Chris hadn't been in school today and Seth had been stealing glances at her more than usual. What had she said to him?, she couldn't recall. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat when a phrase popped into her head, "He's gone for good Kylie, accept that." The bus jerked without warning and Kylie bumped her head against the window. She rubbed the spot with her palm and felt something warm and gooey. "Shit!", she cursed angrily seeing the blood. She picked up her bag with her clean palm and searched for a tissue. Instead, her hand touched something crisp and she guessed what it could be. When she withdrew her hand, it was a carefully folded paper with the word 'BEWARE ' written in red ink. The bus had reached her destination.

Seth combed the whole school making sure every single soul had left. He didn't want anyone snooping in on him while he laid his plans. After his thorough search, he settled down on a bench in the hallway and sipped a bottle of soda. He alone knew where Chris was and he intended to keep it that way. After emptying the bottle of soda, he walked to the deserted part of the school building. That part of the school still had on it's old fading paint with the rooms threatening to cave in anytime. It was soo dilapidated, anyone hardly went there for fear of being buried alive. Seth opened the door and stepped into the dark room. The room smelt of old blood and decaying matter. He scrunched up his nose and walked hastily to the next door. The smell of the next room was bearable compared to the first and Seth let out the breath he had been holding in. The difference in the light intensity caused him to squint his eyes and he treaded cautiously to keep from stumbling. From a distance, he could hear the sound that gave him pleasure anytime he heard it. A scream of pain and terror, of someone who hoped to be dead than alive. Seth walked hurriedly to feed his captive. He preferred him alive than dead.

The door flew open and in walked a furious Norman McGlenn. He was late to work, he had spilled his coffee, his car had failed him on the highway and yeah he had left his keys at home. "Gredder, get me my office keys now!",he bellowed to the bewildered assistant who hastily got up to get him a copy of his keys. Norman snatched them rudely from her hand and stomped out banging the door. "What a boss.",she sighed after he left and went back to watching her favourite pet show. She was going to have an uninterrupted day and she was grateful. She loved it when Norman was angry.
Norman entered his office and slumped into his executive chair. He loosened his tie and let out a frustrated howl. What the hell had Elizabeth meant by "Just go."?. They had had a perfect evening together and suddenly he was supposed to just leave. What did she take him for?, he asked himself the tenth time this morning and let out another frustrated howl. Norman took a book to read to preoccupy his mind. He wasn't going to think about Elizabeth today, he promised himself. As he flipped through the pages of the book, a carefully folded paper fell to the ground. Norman reached out for it lazily-he knew it was one of those prank notes from Gredder. The woman was sometimes unbearable but she was a smart assistant and he couldn't let her go. Norman flipped the note onto the table and saw the word 'BEWARE' inscribed on it with red ink. He became furious again and rang for Gredder.
