Ugh, I thought as my alarm clock woke me up for the first day of school. I was looking forward to it, but at the same time, I didn't want to get up, face the kids, or teachers. After I was dressed, I went to get my binder and put on my shoes. "Mom, I'm ready to go," I said as I took a long sigh.
When we drove up to the junior high school, I was surprised. The place was huge. It had two stories, a seperate building for the library, another buliding for the gym, and one more for the cafeteria.
"im at school, where r u?" I text Ali.
She responds within 10 seconds, "im nxt to the library, come over so we can compare schdls"
I went over to what I though was the library [considering it had library, in big bold letters written on the building, I was pretty sure I was in the right place.] and found Ali talking with a guy. When she saw me she smiled and said "Hey Lani, let me see your schedule!" When she notices me glance at the new guy, she adds, "Oh, Lani, this is Jace. Jace, this is Lani."
"Hey," Jace says. When he turns to look at me, I notice he has the prettiest green eyes ever. And long, shaggy black hair. He was wearing all black.. He's the type of guy I would have hung out with at my old school, and definetely one I would have crushed on. [And maybe one I would still crush on.]
Ali interupts my thoughts and whines, "We have third period together, but that's it." She hands my shedule back to me and I notice Jace peek over my shoulder and look at it.
"We have first period and 6th period together," he tells me, "C'mon, the bells gonna ring soon, we better go."
As I follow Jace through the crowded halls and into first period I notice he's a pretty well liked, and nice guy. Girls were also all over him, which was pretty obvious considering when he walked by, they would giggle, point, and turn towards there friends to talk about him. He must be pretty patient, considering he just walks straight by these girls and pretends not to notice, waves to a few of his friends, and nothing else. Or maybe he's just used to it.
