Chapter 1

Quick note: I am not saying that this what happened. I just thought that it would be fun to write a story about the two after life in the band. I'm trying to stick to what has actually gone on in their real lives but however some things might be wrong or might happen at the wrong time. Obviously I am  If that does happen I'm just trying to make it fit with a storyline! I hope you enjoy. 

Louis breathed a sigh of relief. It was done and she was gone. After years of stunt after stunt he was finally free. Well, freer then he was 1 hour ago. 

"Thank you." He mumbled. Faces from across the table all looked up at him. Simon looked extremely angry, but Louis held his gaze. He wouldn't back down now. Not after so long. The contracts were signed and Eleanor was gone. Simon just huffed with his arms folded and not one look of sympathy or empathy in his eyes. 

"Just to make things clear Louis, the ending of your beard does not mean you and Harry can go public. You must still not show affection towards each other when in the public eye. You may not have to perform stunts anymore but that does not mean you and Harry are free, you still must do as we say." This was not something Louis already didn't know. But with Eleanor gone it was one step further to freedom. 

"The only reason this is being allowed to happen," Simon continued, "Is because, as we have already discussed with you and the other lads, One direction will likely be taking a break after your fifth album is released. Especially since the sudden departure of Zayn. However you are still signed to our contract for a further 5 years. So you may technically not be in the band, but you will be under our control still. We are allowing you to part from Eleanor for now, but if you and Harry start being too obvious in the public eye, we will just bring her back." 

Louis wished he could protest. He wished he could stand up for himself and Harry. But he knew there was no use. After being so tightly controlled for so long he would take any liberty he could get. So he wasn't about loose this, after all it was one more step in the right direction. So he just nodded, not wanting to speak to anyone of them after what they put him and Harry through for so long. 

Simon nodded towards the door, signalling to him that he could go. Without a look back, Louis got up and left. Heading back to his and Harry's house.

As the door shut behind him Jan Wilkinson, one of One Directions top managers turned to Simon and said, "Are you sure this is a good idea? Letting El go? Surely they'll just start gravitating towards each other again?"

"We've got to try and keep the boys on side now more than ever." Simon replied. "What with Zayn leaving. As you all know," He was speaking to everyone in the room now. "its caused a lot of tension and to make sure they stay loyal to us when they go on a break we need to try and keep them happy without letting them have too much freedom."

Most people around the room nodded in agreement, but Jan spoke up again. 

"Simon, I just don't know wether this is going to work. We all know how hard it is to control them sometimes. I just don't understand why we aren't making them keep performing stunts until the contracts up, that way we can guarantee their compliance."

"Look with the rates things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them end up breaking up anyway. Louis has already shown us that they are willing to take whatever they can get. They are not going to test their luck with us as they know we can just rip everything from them in a second. We still have control of them even when their solo careers have taken off as their one direction contract lasts until March 2020. So we can bring Eleanor back into the situation if needs be." replied Simon. Jan looked a bit skeptical but eventually nodded. After a few more conversations Simon and his team got up and left the room.
