I have sewn eight hats. Eight!
I even invented the Witch Cap Beanie!
I have made hair pins, jewelry, cloaks and hats.
Becoming the hobbit I always knew I was.
I have baked with reckless abandon.
Pumpkin rolls, hamantaschen; you name it, I'll bake it!
Staying inside hasn't been that difficult now that I can get some hobbies in.
Finally deciding to finish sewing the patches on my battle jacket, listening to music,
Reading poetry I bought just for their covers,
Chasing the unrealistic aesthetic dream of a life put together.
As if the world is not crumbling before us,
As if this pandemic is just a hazy fog
Dissolving from my mind
Hereafter.
