"No May, I am not going to that fair."
"Drew, I know you find them a waste of time, but please, just once!"
"We've been going on for an hour now. Just give up already."
"But, but... We meet each-other so little."
"May, just-" He stopped on seeing her sad, aqua-blue eyes. It was then that it struck him. "Wait, you just wanna spend time with me?"
"Nevermind. Not this way. Forget it."
As she turned to walk away, he held her wrist. There was absolute silence for a minute, before May spoke up.
"It's just that we keep travelling our separate ways from one contest to another the entire year. And when we finally get to see each-other at the Grand Festival, it's-"
"We are too tensed to acknowledge each-other's presence", he completed for her on noticing her hesitation.
"... Yes", she replied, in order to avoid any awkward silences.
"Alright. You win."
"Y-You mean it?"
She hugged him on receiving a nod.
