Poem 1: Tamed Voice

I used to hide in the shadows

Afraid to show my face

I never spoke a word

Afraid I'd say something wrong

I bit my tongue every time I spoke

My heart would pound in fear

Fear wanted to consume my body

But my heart of lion wanted to scream

I wanted to scream and shout the truth

But I couldn't scream, even if I wanted to

If I can't speak, so I decided to write

They can read all about it

I found my voice

I could finally stand up

I'm fighting my own battles

My writings gave me the courage

Poem 2: Writing 1

Writing is a redeemer

for the broken and believers

They want to speak their hearts out

They need redemption from their weight

They need to be extricated from the adversities of life

They want to break out of their reality of pain.

They want a new beginning and refugee.

Poem 3: Writing 2

Writing is a defense mechanism

for the weak and the voiceless.

They only feel stronger with a pen

The pen is mightier than the sword

Poem 4: Writing 3

Reading a piece of writing

is like reading a piece of the soul

A library is a world of souls

It's a history of the past and present.

Everyone has once felt a heartache.

A library is a testimony of the human frailty.

Hoping one day, I'd become a part of the library

Let my life be in the library; so I can be a testimony.
