dear diary, 

is that how i'm supposed to start this thing? i don't even know. i've never done this before, clearly. i guess i should introduce myself huh. i'm charlie, i'm 26, and i'm writing this because my therapist told me to. i know how that sounds, you're writing in this stupid book because you got told to do it. and yeah. i guess i am. so i guess i should talk about what happened today. 

i met a guy. he was short, i guess. i mean i'm not tall myself so i shouldn't be talking. he had light brown hair and was so nice, he bought me a coffee and then gave me his number. i mean the only reason we met was because i ran into him as i was walking in the door, but that's irrelevant. he was super cute and sweet. his name is cody. he looked kinda familiar, but i couldn't really place my finger on why he did or anything. 

i hope i get to talk to him tomorrow or something. maybe he'll ask to hang out. that would be fun, he seemed super funny. he was cute too. have i said that already? oh well, it's true. he was. 

when i walked into the coffee shop i was on my phone, texting someone. and the line was like... crazy long, almost coming out the door. so of course, with my luck, i open the door and there's a person standing right there and a barrel into him. i, of course, apologized to him but he said that it wasn't a big deal. while we waited we talked and then as we got up to the counter he paid for my drink as well. and while we were leaving he winked at me! winked! so i guess i'll keep writing in here, updating as i get to know him better. 

maybe this simple coffee shop interaction could turn into a beautiful romance. one could only hope with a man who looked like that. as of today, that's the most eventful thing that has happened to me in weeks! but if something else had happened before maybe i wouldn't have run into cody. 

well i guess we'll see where this goes.
