The Messiah, or simply known as Minato Arisato, awoke in a strange place... the first thing he saw was his sword, Lucifer, and a... Gun? He didn't remember owning a gun, real or not, minus his Evoker, if you count that as a gun. He sat up to look at his surroundings. There were a couple towers, they seemed to be glowing with streaks of red, the ground seemed to be covered in sand and he could see railroad tracks not too far away from where he was sitting. He looked around a little more to see what looked like an opened chest on some type of pedestal. Looking a little further at the details, there seemed to be bus tracks in the sand, and they looked fresh. Getting off the floor, Minato decided to follow these out of the room, at least, what he assumed was a room, he couldn't really tell if it had walls or not because of the darkness shrouding the area. After what seemed like an hour of walking through shadowed train tracks, hearing the occasional gunshot from far away, and accidentally going in the wrong direction, Minato finally reached a downward staircase, or escalator, and traveled down to see what looked like a waiting room. He walked inside to see something sitting on one of the seats. He picked it up and discovered it was a Maragi Gem, one of the many items he had back during his time in Tartarus. He assumed this place was safe, seeing that someone may have been there, so he decided to sit down for a second to think about his situation. After a little, he comes to the conclusion that he's somehow ended up in a world with no shadows (He hasn't encountered any, plus he can't sense them around), no people, and no personas. But then, where did those gunshots come from? They sounded very distant, and they were getting farther and farther away when they sounded out. He thought that that was this world's way of getting him to go further down. The weird thing was, he could feel his personas, but he couldn't pull them to reality, which meant there was the possibility of him using his Personas here.
He has to yet realize his clothes were not normal. He is wearing a rather fancy trench coat. His coat had black on the top, navy blue in the middle, and a lighter blue on the bottom in a gradient with either gold or bright blue highlights. His shirt seemed to be a similar color of blue on the bottom of his jacket, but it fades to white on the bottom of his shirt. He also has black pants that resemble his old Gekkoukan uniform's but with faint golden accentry. He has also yet to notice the mask resting on his face. This mask looks to cover the upper half of his face, and seems to have some type of butterfly base to it. The main color of it is the same blue as the highlights on his coat, but with glowing blue parts and golden highlights. (His design will be drawn by my editor soon. It'll be posted on my discord server)
About what felt like a month later something strange began to happen. Minato started hearing a voice speak to him as he was exploring the many hallways of this place. At first, Minato ignored it and began to realize things about this new world he was in that he didn't know before. For example, that when you return to a floor, the placement of everything changes. 'Just like Tartarus...' he thought to himself after he discovered this. He also encountered his first shadow, which immediately turned and ran away. He assumed it was either a rare shadow, or it was way too low leveled for him, either way, he discovered that shadows indeed existed, which led to him wondering where he was. Since back in his world, Shadows only appeared during the Dark Hour. He also wondered what this world he was in was called. The last thing the voice said was something that Minato deemed important. "You are the Messiah, savior of the world. While I am the god of chaos." It stopped after that, which confused Minato. Did another god attempt to take the world? How did this voice know who he was? Questions rang out in his head about his world and what had been happening to it while he was gone.
Minato's been in this... world for a while now, but he's only seen a couple shadows, one of them being the Reaper, who he somehow had a conversation with? That confused him quite a bit. It seems he's a god to the shadows now, he concluded it's because of his presence as The Messiah, although the Reaper didn't give specifics.
Akira Kurusu, or known as Joker to only his small group of friends, has noticed something strange. The Metaverse Navigator, an app that's supposed to be dysfunctional after they defeated Yaldabaoth, is now running again on his phone. He quickly called over his friends to Cafe Leblanc, their old meeting place, to discuss this new information. Once they got there, they saw the age old place of Mementos, the palace of the public. This troubled the Phantom Thieves, Joker's group of friends and the persona users of Tokyo, because they had thought they defeated the god who tried to combine this palace with the world in order to 'save' humanity. "We need to know what this is about. Are we all ready to enter?" Joker asks, standing up from his seat at the table in his room at the cafe. "Alright! Let's go guys!" A bottle blond said sitting up in time with the other Phantom Thieves. Their world quickly changed to one they all recognized from their time as the Phantom Thieves, and they were all wearing their uniforms. Futaba Sakura, or Oracle, the orange-haired navigator of the team spoke up about something strange. "Hey! Guys! I'm sensing someone, or something, underneath us! They are close to the bottom of Mementos! They also seem to have shadows trailing them, but not attacking them. Wait! Joker! They have a similar signature to you! I think there are Persona user! A powerful one too!" She sounds excited at the mention of a new powerful Persona user, maybe they could join the Phantom Thieves. "What floor are they on?" Joker asked, wanting to get to where that person was as fast as possible. "They look to be... in block 6, floor 13!" Futaba does her thing as navigator, as always. Joker smirks "Alright, I want Queen, Noir, and Fox to come with me. All the rest of you can follow as well, we might need extra help fighting off the shadows if they attack us." "Alright, Joker, I'm ready to go!" Fox excitedly says, ready to slice some shadows in half with his katana. "It seems you're fired up too, Fox." Queen seems to agree. Noir nods, cutely but sadistically as well, swinging up her axe to rest upon her shoulder. "It's Showtime!" Joker runs down into Mementos, the others following swiftly behind. Once they reach the bottom of the first escalator, they take a moment to allow Morgana to shift into his car/bus form and drive through Mementos.
After what seemed like at least an hour of driving, they reach Block 6, floor 12 without encountering any shadows so far. "Hey! I sense a TON of Shadows on the floor below us! It seems the person is on that floor as well!" "That's Interesting. Do you know if the Reaper is on that floor as well?" Joker asks after Oracle's report. "Nope! Can't, but I can see that there is a powerful shadow next to the Persona user. But they don't seem to be fighting." "Let's go down one more level and see if the shadows attack us." Joker cuts in again. "Alright, I'll back you guys up from here!" Oracle jumps out of the car and summons her Persona Anime style right as they reach the staircase down to the next floor. Joker runs forwards first, directly after, the other team members follow.
