The Library

It's a few minutes before the first bell for school rings. Fay and Giselle are waiting outside their Science class.
"Do you think any of our friends know?" asks Giselle.
"Isn't that a bit of a stupid question to ask? Everyone asks that question and the answer never changes. I don't know... the question basically answers itself!" Fay exclaims.
"Eh... ok?" Giselle says. The bell rings and they walk into class. "Hey Giselle" the girl sitting next to her says.
"Uhhh... Hi Amelia" Giselle replies.
"How are you?" Amelia says annoyingly.
"Why do you care?" Giselle says, dumping her pencilcase onto the table.
"Because you're my BEST friend!!!!" Amelia answers. You're not even my friend Giselle thinks, rolling her eyes. "Umm... Giselle? Why did you just roll your eyes at me?" Amelia asks.
"Oh no... it was just something I was thinking about, sorry" Giselle replies.
"Okay listen up students," Mr Viskar begins "I don't want any of you faffing about today, I had enough with the Year 9s yesterday, I don't need any of you Year 7s playing games... Ok now I will take the register," he glares across the room and gives Fay a disgusted look, "Emma?"
"Here"
"Fay???"
"He-"
"NOBODY CARES FAY"
"Amelia?"
"Here"
"Mike?"
"Here"
"Luke?"
"Here"
"Giselle?"
"Here"
Mr Viskar continues to go through people name extremely slowly, "Ok, now I have taken the register, let's start to do some Science!"
Amelia puts her hand up. "Yes, Amelia?"
"Why are you teaching us Science today? Where's Mr Jason?" she asks.
"He is ill today so I'm teaching," Mr Viskar says, "Ok so, today we are doing some experiment where we ummm- WHAT IS IT AMELIA?"
"Was Mr Jason ill yesterday too?"
"YES AND THE YEAR 9S SPILLED ACID ALL OVER THE DESKS NOW LET ME TEACH!!!" Mr Viskar shouts, "Sorry Amelia, I had a very frustrating day yesterday, now, let's begin, so the way we do this is, we basically get this acid stuff, and we pour it into this glass capsule thingymajig and then we add this food colouring stuff, whatever this is, and then it... AAAAAHHH..." the example explodes and Mr Viskar almost drops the test tube, "I-It does that... ummm... that IS what's supposed to happen, I think, it just sort of startled me!" The students begin their experiments but by the end, none of their experiments had exploded, they just made some sort of strange solution. "Mr Jason told me that we have to leave these things on the desk for next lesson so put them over at the back of the class on that desk ok?"

At the end of class Giselle says, "Why does Mr Viskar hate you so much?"
Fay replies with "I think it's something to do with my family..."
"Oh... what happened?"
"It doesn't really matter, let's go to the library"
"Ok... what are we supposed to do there?"
"Read, study... anything really,"
"Let's go..."
They walk to the library. Giselle pulls out a book called Lost and turns to Chapter 17, she begins to read while Fay grabs a laptop and starts to do homework. "What are you doing after school?" Fay asks.
"Just chillin', wanna come over later?"
"Sure, why not, we can practise our..." Fay lowers her voice down to a whisper, "powers"
"Ok, yeah"
"Wait, what's that sound?"
"What sound? Oh... I hear it now,"
"Weird..." Fay stands up and looks around, "Huh? There's nothing," she says sitting back down and turning back to her laptop. The sound starts again. "What's happening?" This time, Giselle stands up, she goes into one of the library isles and there it is.......
