Always remember that no matter how selfless you are, people will always screw you over. If you put everyone else first, you're always going to be last. It's okay to be a little selfish sometimes. It's okay to think of yourself first once a while and take a short break and do something nice for yourself. You're not Superman, you deserve it. One of the reasons why people feel empty is because they put everyone else first.
