"Hello? Grandpa Joseph, is that you?" I ask excitedly through the phone.
"Yes, it's me, dear! How are you?" he makes the usual small talk.
"I suppose I'm pretty good. I just finished my first year of University after all, and now I gotta say, a well-deserved break is really what I needed. Now that you called, I guess I'll tell you that I already got tickets to come back home tomorrow." I chuckled through the phone, looking up at the ceiling.
"That's such great news! Suzie is gonna be thrilled when she hears that!" he laughs simply.
"So...Why did you call me? I can feel it in your voice that there's something you want to talk about that's not our usual chatting." my voice became more serious.
"Well...Holly called me and I think it has something to do with Jotaro and the Joestar bloodline. Tomorrow I'm going to Japan and I wanted to know if you would like to accompany me." Joseph's voice held a tint of concern.
"Are you sure you want me to come as well? I mean...If it's a family situation...I wouldn't want to interfere or something, you know?" I sighed, leaning back on the bed post.
"Don't be silly, you know you've always been a part of our family! And besides, I have reasons to believe that Jotaro might have managed to activate his Stand, and if that's true, it wouldn't be bad if you were to be there as well to help him understand what's going on. I will bring another man who's a Stand User, so you have nothing to worry about." he reassured me softly, and I could only grunted in approval.
"Well then...I suppose I have to go and see how I can deal with the plane tickets, then. It'd be silly to come to America, only to go to Japan afterwards, right? If anything happens, I'll just wait for you at the airport." I shrugged, thinking of the best strategy to take.
"Ahhh, don't worry about the flight! Just go on tonight's 8pm flight, and wait for me there, I will arrive soon after. I will make a quick call and your name will be there." he informed, which made me widen my eyes in shock.
"Are...Are you sure that's okay?" I ask once again, in a softer voice.
"Yes, yes, of course it is! Ah, while I'm at it, Suzie says she misses you! Also, Holly called me recently saying that she'd like to see you again, so that's even better! She's gonna be delighted to see you! How long has it been even?" he asked in a nostalgic voice.
"About 4 years, I believe. I got to see her while I was in my first year of Highschool and I managed to score a scholarship...Oh my God, I remember how little Jotaro was...Well, I mean, not by height, since you, bloody Joestars, have some weird Giraffe DNA and you're all like...2 meter tall or what even?" I laughed remembering a 13 year old Jotaro.
"Come on, dear, we're not THAT tall...Just 1.95! It's not our fault that you are a cute petite girl? I'm sure Jotaro's gonna like you in no time!" he truly started to sound like a grandpa now.
"Haha...Come on, Grandpa, it's not like that...I bet he doesn't even remember me. And really, you truly sound like a Grandpa now, I thought you didn't want to admit that you're that old! Honestly, you...Nah, never mind that, I'll tease you more when we see each other again. Until then, I should start packing and getting ready. I have a few things to take care of and I better hurry up. Take care of yourself, Joseph. I'm 19 and my back is already starting to cry in pain! I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like for you!" I laughed harder, hearing his vehement protests.
"I-I'm not that old!!" was the last thing I heard before I hung up and went to get ready.

I wonder if thing are really going to be okay, though...When Grandpa spoke about Jotaro and his possible Stand, he didn't seem exactly happy...But it didn't seem like he was really thinking about Jotaro, actually...

I hope...That this isn't about Dio, in any way.

I've only heard stories from Grandma, long ago, when mum would take me and my little sister to see her, and while my sister was always busy going out to play with the neighbour kids, I would help grandma with errands and listen to her stories about how amazing and brave her brother, Caesar used to be, before he died, saving the world and protecting Joseph from the Pillar Men...And then she'd tell me about their Grandpa, who sacrificed himself to save Joseph's grandpa so he could kill the Vampire Dio.
As far as I know, they said Jonathan Joestar managed to kill Dio, but...I'm very anxious about that.
