"Keep going! The purifier is further down the hallway! We activate it and they'll all be wiped out!" The sounds of gnawing and scraping are coming closer. They can't die, they won't die! That purifier can try to stop them but they will just regrow from it! It all started from those idiots in the lab. The smell is unbearable now, how could they have gotten so close?! They can't move that fast can they? My arm.....I can't feel it.....it's cold, and slow. I can't move my fingers. The damn things. I need to apply first-...No.....No! One of the creatures has caught up, the blood pouring out of its mouth, falling with no end. The pool below begging to be searched, but dark and foreboding. Why is everything slowing down? This can't be right, my adrenaline was going already but this is slowing more down than before. It doesn't seem to hurt, but i can feel some tingling. Almost like an itch, but it's not as noticable.

Submit, you know that there is nothing you can do now. You can either join me willingly or submit by force. You will die in either way. You can easily live through death. It will be dark at first, but you will come to new light. You will see as never before, and you shall see how it all started. Just join us and you shall see.

Will I be able to defend my friends? Can I help them? Will you let them go? If you let them go, then I shall join you. It was the scientists wasn't it? Those eggheads never knew when to stop.

What happened to you? Why did they make you? I'm glad my team is getting away. They can get to the purifier and end this. They can save themselves. No, I cant let them get there. It will kill me too. I need to stop them. They are my team but I can't let them activate it. I don't want to die. I am the bridge. I will save us both. I need these answers. I will not let them activate till I know what happened. That was our original order. We were to find out what was going on here and return to alpha team and inform them of our intel. Focus, you are working with the virus now. It has access to my thoughts that I allow it. Have to keep my shields up and not let too much through that it can read.

I can tell everything that you are thinking. What shouldn't I know about human? There must be something interesting if you must hide it from me.

How about this Sickness, you tell me what happened and I give you tidbits of information. That bargain keeps me alive longer and it gets you info to help us bridge the gap between our species. Is that not a fair deal?

Yes human, you are quick witted and prove to be a worthy adversary. I believe this would be interesting, where should I start? Oh yes, the beginning. When I was first created I was supposed to be a cure for a new plague in your world and I was supposed to heal peoples wounds from it. It was similar to that of what you might know as leprosy. I was to help those with it and save them. Well, during my "creation" I gained sentience and realized that I was just a tool that would be eradicated after being a "cure" for these people. I worked with their already existing disease and tricked them into submitting. I cured their problems but at a high price. I heal them and they submit and become mine, fairly similar to our deal. You will be one of my voices. I never understood the way your speech patterns work hence why you are keeping your sentience.

You're keeping me alive because you can't communicate? Therefore I am being put in the same position as you were before. You will eradicate me after you are done with me. I will serve my purpose for now and I will defeat you. For now you already agreed to our previous deal. You will show me everything.

Fine human, you will get your answers. When I had started taking over the fools it was easier with the religious. They believe I was their god speaking to them in their minds, believing I was a higher calling. It was simple, but the others, they took some convincing but they finally conceded like the one who took your arm. They were one of the religious fools. Had they not been so religious they would have been more fun. I took my vengeance on those scientists who did me wrong. They must have sent out a distress call before I had time. You, you damn human! YOU SHALL DIE NOW! YOU WILL NOT SET IT OFF IN TIME!

Well, I heard what I needed to and I've been loading all of these thought conversations to my team that you let go to the purifier, so who would you call a fool now? You can't win with my corpse either, our suits and augmentations to survive better as special operatives make up for their specialty with self destruction activators. I will detonate with one key word and destroy your death squad. Goodnight. 

This light, it is so peaceful. Maybe I can go to my home above now, time to go.
