So, this is another ELA warm up. Another depressing one, sorry. It's not as great whoops. The assignment was to write a short thing about a dog walking through a park, and you had to use an emotion to base it around. I chose sadness. I would have read it out loud in class like some others, but the max amount of sentences is five and I wrote like eight. So... enjoy? I guess? I'm sure this isn't what the teacher was expecting lol

The old dog stumbled into the park. A once cheerful and lively place, now practically crumbling to the ground beneath his paws. He walked the very same worn trail, once the main trail with other dogs and people, now only dust and this aged mutt. He barely tripped out of the way of a falling branch from a tree, long dead. His owner had been taken to the human vet and he hadn't come back yet. So this dog went to wait, sitting on his late owner's favorite bench. And as this ancient dog breathed its last sigh of remorse, thoughts of how different his life could have been, memories of his friend drifting through his head, he rested it on his front paws, the sorrowful and abandoned park in ruins around him.
