"High school, huh," Katrina grunted. "That's what you said would be my little project,"

Kat's mum sighed.

"I thought we went through this mum, I just don't like being around other kids, OK,"

"Now young lady I can't just homeschool you forever," nagged her mum, she was right. Katrina bit her guilt back and grunted disrespectfully. "Ok, that's the last line! Go to your room,"

Katrina decided to ignore that and went straight for the door, she opened it and the shining light flowed in like the smooth river flowing past their house.

Her mom shouted something, but she didn't hear her. She had had enough. No more nagging, no nothing! But she also knew she had overreacted. She would go back, but at night, so her mother would be asleep. She hoped.

"Stupid school," she muttered.

"You'll regret that I never got to go to school," boomed a deep, and growly voice.

She turned there stood a racoon...

What?

"You understand me?" cried the racoon. "Alas, the day has come!!"

"I am Roberto the Racoon, I am from Italy!"Katrina could have guessed - he had a strong Italian accent. 

"How?"

"You are supernatural my dear, only few can do such marvellous magic such as this,"

She stood speechless, swaying, she felt a bit lightheaded.

Then darkness.
