Beginning & End

Waking from the same dream 2 days in a row, Yuqi gently opens her eyes and stumbles out from the bed. My dream must've meant something, she can't keep her mind out about it. She slide the curtains to let the morning sunshine come in her room to brightens it, I hope you're not in trouble, she frowns placing her right hand onto her chest, turning around to a picture frame beside her bed

Inside it is a picture she took after graduation with two of her bestfriends, Kun and Lucas, the boy she secretly fell in love with since they were little, but like a sad teen movie, he only looked at her like his own little sister

Like Yuqi, Lucas is an only child, but unlike her, he doesn't have a happy childhood though he has everything

A mansion with lots of helpers, cars gifted on his 18th birthday and a closet full of branded things. But there is saying, money can't buy you happiness

Yuqi flashbacks to when Lucas said, "You have everything. I envy you"

"No. Don't say that. You have more than I do" Yuqi tries to cheer him up

Lucas sighs heavily, "Well. I don't have a father & mother that cares or at least be there for their son like yours"

"Lucas—"

"My father only cares about work. My mother? I never even met her and everytime I try asking him, he'll always give me the death stare if I dare continue asking about her" Lucas turns his head to Yuqi and smiled, "But I thank God, if there is one, for sending you. Your presence fill the loneliness that often strikes me randomnly"

Though Yuqi and Lucas bond was tight like a lid on jar, there's one secret she kept silent from him

A secret she promised not to tell

Mr. Song, Yuqi's father, known Mr. Wong way before Mr. Wong became one of the most richest man in town

Seeing Yuqi sad and upset face every time she comes home from the Wong's residents after Lucas call needing her because he had a huge fight with his father, with a heavy heart, Mr. Song thought it's time she knew a story about Mr. Wong

Mr. Wong was once a loving, hard working and family man that was always there for his wife when she needed him. But after he achieved the success he has now, the less time and attention his wife got

He got so caught up by work he never thought once his wife would cheat on him

Lucas was only 1 years old when Mrs Wong had the affair with one of Mr. Wong's staff whom he trusted

The affair went on for months before she finally decide to leave Mr. Wong and Lucas with only leaving a note stating she wasn't happy anymore

It's shattered Mr. Wong's heart into small pieces. Turning him into someone cold and heartless. So cold and heartless everyone in the business would never dare try to double cross him because if anyone dares, he'll make sure to close their business

Mr Wong even made the person who took his wife away become homeless

The person couldn't get jobs because he was blacklist in every company in town. The person got depressed and shot himself. When the police discover his body in his home, they found Mrs. Wong took her life as well
