Ib 2

Chapter three: Into a painting

HEYY GUYS. And so, I've been playing Ib over and over again until it feels like nothing to me XD. The previous chapter was really short because I was in a hurry to complete it.

You felt your heart leapt out of your chest as you plunged head first into the painting.

You let out an ear piercing scream and landed in a heap. To make matters worse, Ib fell right on top of you.

"Where are we?" you suddenly came to your senses and suddenly, the atmosphere became tense.

"Hey! There's a staircase leading back to the big and weird painting!" she told you, somewhat relieved.

There were two paintings on the wall, a picture of a blue volcano and in the other, a red volcano.

"Let's go to our right. Since red is my favourite colour." she winked at you and walked towards the corridor. The enclosed corridor was blue and dim lited. There were many light blue and jumbled words on the wall.

You tried your best to ignore it and walked closely behind Ib. Soon, you came to the end of the corridor and there were two roses sitting on a vase, on a table. There was one as pure as snow and the other was as red as blood.

"Like I said, red is my favourite colour." she smiled and took it out of the glass.

You took the white rose out of the vase and observed it. It smelt like stale blood and had only three petals on it.

"Hey mine smells disgusting." Ib groans with disgust and you smelt her rose. It smelt exactly the same.

She was pushing the table that was blocking the door, she grabbed your hand and opened the door. When you took a step into the door, you found yourself staring at a woman's face. She had blue, long and wavy hair. She was smiling with her eyes closed as if she was having a nice dream.

You saw a blue key on the floor and reached for it. The moment your picked it up, you lifted your head and saw the woman in the painting staring at you with wide eyes and her smile was creepy as if she wanted to devour you. You got a shock and saw Ib shutting her eyes really hard.

" Let's go Ib." you tried to snap her out of it and dragged her out of the door.

You slammed the door and she became very quiet. The little girl who was laughing a few minutes ago was gone.

You grabbed Ib's hand and you walked towards the center of the corridor with the two volcanoes. You realised that the blue words on the wall were gone. In fact, it was replaced with big and red words.

You were walking halfway when you stopped. Redwords appeared on the floor " T H I E F."

" They didn't have to make us feel so guilty." You raised your eyebrows and sighed. The staircase between the two paintings were gone. You walked towards a blue door at the other side and hesitated to unlock it.

" We can't go anywhere now, can we?" Ib finally spoke and you put the key into the keyhole.
