I lived overlooking the village, I had to live with myself. My house was planted right beside the volcano. I saw nothing at the bottom of the volcano that lay by my village beforehand. The crater was there as long as I was. There were others, but not as active and as big as mine. I never thought anything of it until lava started to build. I started seeing something red and glowing, something terrible was seeping through the bottom of the volcano and was uncontrollably working its way to the top. I loved the village, I knew every single house like it was my own. The villagers. I knew everyone like the back of my hand, I cared for all of them more than I cared for myself, which I never knew would lead to this. I thought nothing could happen to the town under the crater. There was something that must have made the volcano so angry. The worst started to seep through the cracks. I couldn't do anything but nothing. It just seemed to get worse and worse until the magma burst out like a lit fuse, a flare. The lava shot out of the top like a troubled, burning boy; who could not take the hurt they had felt any longer. The lava razed onto the entire village and damaged everything it had hit. The beautiful bridges holding each house together were broken as the magma splashed onto it, and the ties were cut. The foundation of the town had been wrecked. The villagers were furious. They never even said goodbye. Every single person I knew and cared about left me, and spit on the ground I built, which was now destroyed. The only thing the volcano fully destroyed though, was myself. I was decimated by the lava. I instigated the volcano. It was my own. I soon learned, I was the volcano. I should have never looked down on the village. I should have handled this volcano before the burning hot lava had burst out of it. There was nothing left of me. I destroyed everything I had built. It was all gone. I was all gone. Nothing was left but the ashes of a broken relationship.
