You're the pill I crave.
The itch in the back of the throat.
I want you but I can't.
You tease me and play at my heart
And yet I still can't.
I thought we had something.
A teal and red rose blossoming where the purple once stood.
My green is fading into a chilled grey and I'm losing what I once called home.
So now I cry.
The anger bubbling over.
My green formed into envy.
I lie to you once again...
Everything's fine I say, but it's not.
And you are none the wiser.
I poured my crumbling soul to the void hoping you'd hear.
And you did.
But you walked past me.
And you went to them.
I'm just not enough.
Not enough for the Teal, the Red, the Pink nor the Purple.
You broke my heart without even knowing you had it to begin with.
I thought I was done with this,
But my heart says otherwise.
I want you to be happy but when you are with them, I hate it.
I hate the how sting the searing knife piercing my throat makes my words sound.
I want to scream. To cry
But the knife holds my place.
And there you go.
Laughing blindly as each espression of happiness shoves a other burning blade into my skin.
But if your happiness means my demise,
Then so be it.
The addiction grows with each knife.
I think I might like it.
So here I stay.
