Queen: you ability to absorb magical power would allow you to absorb the energy from this portal in the process removing it's self destruction but there's no certainty that you will survive and if you do survive it may come at a cost

( as Alex begins to absorb the energy it starts to overwhelm him but his resolve to save his friends pushes him forward )

( as the last few ounce of energy are drained a loud explosion goes off)

( but as they ran to the site of the explosion they saw none other than queen carrying Alex's body)

Queen: no but his power were lost in the process of stopping the portals self destruction
( analyze: if your wondering how Alex survived the answer is quite clever when Alex used snatch counter he began absorbing the magical energy from the portal and because it was magic in nature he was able to redirect all the energy he absorbed back at the portal destroying it and preventing it from being used ever again but this was not without a cost due to him also redirecting his own power as well this basically drained him )
