Mario and Luigi were suddenly startled by a phone call. Mario's nerves calmed down almost instantly, then he sighed a sigh to indicate that he wasnt that bothered. "Luigi, pick up the phone..." he huffed, turning the page of his newspaper. Luigi was always treated like a number two. Luigi walked towards the ringing phone, thoughts in his head turning what could be a normal phone call into something terrible. His hand trembled as he reached for the phone.
"Hello?"
"Luigi! Thank God you picked up!" a frantic toad screeched down the line. Luigi panicked.
"What is the matter?" He tried to sound calm, but he felt his anxiety creep up on him.
"It's Princess Peach, Bowser took her!"
"Mamma Mia!" Luigi shouted, shock setting in. This made his brother jump.
"We'll be over at the castle in five minutes, ok?"
Luigi quickly hung up the phone and turned towards his brother.
"What's wrong, Luigi?" Mario tried his best to sound bothered.
"It's Princess Peach, she gone!" Luigi almost cried.
"Ehhh... why don't you do it? I've..." Mario paused to make an excuse. "Injured my knee!"
Luigi was surprised. Didn't Mario love Peach? He turned towards the door, not saying anything. Not questioning his brother. He sped out of the door, slamming it behind him, and fled towards the castle.
