| Chapter 1 | "Hey" |

My name is Dani, at least that's what I tell the overly excited men that take me out to eat, change has always been normal to me which explains why I tend to always be with a new fling each month. No man bears the power to keep me around for long, well no man but one.

He's right over there, on the same table he remained seated yesterday and the day before that,  I promise I'm not stalking, I'm just working ... at least I was until Mr mysterious strolled in, today stamps the fifth day he's visited here and I can't seem to peel my eyes off of him.

Why are you captivating? Why do I feel the urge to explore you? Who are you sir?

A dozen questions have wandered through my mind and I just don't seem to be gaining any answers, I'm curious...so curious It's making my head throb, I only come to realise I've been staring for an awful amount of time when I'm brought back to reality by a customer eagerly waving their peculiar hands before my face.

"Excuse me, are you going to serve me any time soon?" Speaks the customer before me
"My apologies, what would you like today" I quickly respond with a slightly embarrassed smile...

3 lengthy hours later and I've managed to keep the coffee shop running, it's closing time and I couldn't be more happier, I get to finally return to the quiet space that I barely spend time in...

Hmmm that sounds nice

It's Friday and I plan to stay indoors tucked away under layers of comfort with good quality wine and a book, most people my age are implementing the opposite, they'll be out enjoying the night breeze as they drink their miseries away just enough to forget the events of their night.

I chuckle to myself as I shut the shop doors for the night.

Farewell tiny shop I'll see you on Monday

I begin to walk across the road where I usually park my car, I notice a glimpse of yellow on the side of my tire.

Great Dani, great job

My car has been clamped, not the best way to end the day really, I sigh as I take a seat in my car and furiously smack my head against the steering wheel, out of all people why me? and why today?

*knock knock*

My head shoots up at the sound, a man in security attire stands there with a grimace visible on his face, he's clearly not impressed, I take a breath as I slowly start the car and wind my window down.

"Good evening sir how may I be to your service"
I hesitantly ask
"Good evening madam, I've come to warn you that this will have to be the last time you park here, the Clamp is temporary as we've only enforced the no parking rule not too long ago" he spoke robotically "an authorised person will be we with you shortly to remove the clamp, enjoy the rest of your night mam" He said nodding slightly with a tight smile.

He walked away with a bounce clearly happy he was done for the day, I sighed to my self yet again but this was a relieved sigh. Soon enough my tire was unclamped and I was ready to be on my way to my cosy home.

*knock knock*

Not again

"Look sir I under-" I spoke but stopped in my tracks as I was taken back by the mercury eyes that stared back at me

"Hey"...
