Do you ever feel cold?
I'm not talking about the, "I need an extra jacket" cold.
I'm talking about the cold you feel deep in your bones. Etched onto your soul. Cold.
The kind that starts when your parents ignore you and when they talk it feels like a lecture.
The kind where no matter how much it hurts you push people away in fear of being left alone because you got attached.
The kind where, you go numb. Where nothing seems to be worth it anymore. Not even yourself.
It's the kind of cold that ignites when feel shut out by everyone and everything around you.
It feels as though the rivers have run dry. Where you're stuck in the Arctic with no one to bring you warmth.
The sun has stopped shining and the lands are covered in darkness. Stretching far as the eye can see.
It's the kind of cold the you feel deep in your bones. In a sea of people and you feel alone.
It's the kind of cold where, you feel less and less motivated to find warmth.
Have you ever felt cold?
