Transfiguration was easy, all my classes were easy. Hermione and I finished homework in class, with time to spare.

“I wasn’t going to tell you this until tonight, but, since we finished our homework I have to tell you! I can’t hold it in any longer!” She whispered to me.

“What is it, Mionie?” I whispered, excited by the tone in her voice.

                “I talked to Dumbeldore…”

                “And…?”

“I convinced him to allow us to have a ball!”

“That’s wonderful, Mionie! But… you know I don’t really enjoy that kind of thing.”

“It’s going to be amazing! I already know that you will look amazing; and you’ll have a perfect date.”

“I’m glad that Dumbledore approved, but I don’t think I’ll be going.”

“Oh but you have to go! There’s a trip arranged to go to Hogsmeade. I promise I will do anything as long as you go.”

“Hermione…” I knew I couldn’t say no, but I didn’t want to say yes. “Fine; I’ll think about it.”

Hermione didn’t say anything; she just beamed at me with wide eyes. The class was dismissed. I gave a relieved sigh. It was the last class of the day. I picked up my bag and hastily shoved my parchment and book in. Harry was calling my name but I kept hurrying through the crowd of students that were rushing to get through the door. I was on my way to my secret spot where I would always go to relax when Seamus grabbed my hand.

“Hey Macy. I… um… I’m sorry. Dumbledore wants you.” He said nervously.

“Is everything all right Seamus?” I asked him, worried.

“Um… yeah. I mean of course. Why wouldn’t it be? Unless you know, then- you should probably go to his office now.”

“Well… thanks Seamus.” He squeezed my hand and walked away quickly.

I walked to Dumbledore’s office in a fast pace; I was worried- Seamus was one of my best friends and he never acted nervous around me. Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall were waiting for me. They walked with me to Dumbledore’s office. Snape was silent while McGonagall was patting my back. My eyes widened when I saw Celeste and Leo standing on both sides of Dumbledore.
