Dust blew, in the small town of Dier. The town that Peter used to live in, months ago. As the wind blew, many of the families worked hard, in their barns. Although the town wasn't full of lively green fields of grass, it had been a long time ago. So many of the barns still stood. It had not rained for months since Peter left, although it didn't get much rain anyway.
"Marilyn!" One of the farmers called out. When she heard, she immediately ran strait to the farmer.
"Yes father?" She said.
"Mary, how is Peter's mother doing?"
"Not, great father. But it shouldn't be too bad, as long as she sleeps."
"All right... hey Marilyn!"
Her father quickly added before she left. "Yes?"
"Don't forget, tonight's the night you wanted to go so... ge-get ready."
Marilyn nodded her head, and quickly ran inside her house. The farmer looked up into the sky, blocking the suns rays, with his hand. "Oh, Peter, your mother needs you."

In the smoggy air, lay Peter, in the muddy fields, that just hours ago where green, lay cold on the ground. He slowly lifted his eyes. Around him were, corpses, thousands of them. One of the bodies, had a sword stuck through his right eye. Another had his stomach cut open. Peter, feeling quite ill, slowly got off the muddy grass. He coughed, and then whipped his mouth of spit.
"Oh my God. What happened here? Am I really alive?"
Peter started to walk ever so slowly. He felt as if he where in a dream, light headed I should say. As he walked, he saw more corpses, around the fields. Peter tried to think what happened, why just a minute ago he was about to be killed. Peter stopped walking for a moment, and then he realized, that he was where he was when he was thrown back off his horse. "It couldn't of been a dream, could it of? No! How would something so real be a fake?" Peter then suddenly realized if his sword was on his back. He quickly checked. Yes, it was. He lifted his head to the sky. It was pitch black, except for the light form the fire, caused by a cannon shell. Stars smiled in the night sky. Peter closed his eyes, and thought of home.
"What a fool I am thinking me, an eight-teen year old boy could avenge my father, just in a couple of months. What would of avenged my father, would have been to stay home and take care of mo-"
Peter shook his head. That thought will never happen so he should stop longing for it!
"Hey! It's a live one!" A man shouted. Peter quickly looked behind him.
"Get ready boys!"
Peter could hear two swords being pulled out.
"W-wait! I'm not on anyone's side; I don't even know what this war is about!"
"Don't listen boys! Kill 'em!"
Peter wide eyed readied his sword. He could now see two men with their swords, ready to kill. "I got one of 'em too, so don't think I'm not going down without a fight!"
"God damn it yes listen!"
A much more stronger voiced, demanded. Then suddenly, the men stopped, and put away there swords.
