Anya.
It's a short form for Ifunanya which in my father's and maternal grandmother's language, Igbo, means love. In Russian, it means Merciful and Gracious. I'm 75% Nigerian and about 25% Russian because of my babushka (grandmother) was Russian.. I wish I could say that I was actually as merciful and gracious as my name implies but its hard to live up to a name like that. Espeically when people see your nice and then decided to take that for granted. Little by little the niceness in you starts to wither away.
Maybe it's true when they say "Nice guy's finish last"
