Evangeline Ruth was an orphan. A sweet girl who had not yet descovered the meaning of love or family. She often forgot that there was a chance she would be happy and in all honesty, she no longer cared. She believed that special things only happened to the girls in the fairy tales she read every night. Her friend Grace told her that pretty girls had advantages in life, but Evangeline thought otherwise. After all, Grace was beautiful, with green eyes and long black hair, but she was still here. Evangeline believed it would take a miracle to be adopted, and that's exactly what Evangeline would get.

The day her life changed started like any other. Evangeline awoke early and changed into her favourite white dress. She pulled her unbrushed blonde hair into two braids before grabbing her pink cardigan (which she had long outgrown) and making her way outside. She had to tiptoe past the room of Miss Rein, who was kind but did not approve of the children going anywhere unless they were with her. Like every morning, Miss Rein slept-snoring softy.
Once Evangeline was outside, she could smell the mouth watering scent of sugary pretzels from the pretzel stand just outside the orphanage. She could heard the laughter of children playing and the birds singing up in the trees. She was very glad that she lived so close to the park, as nature was one of her favourite things. When she was near it, it made her forget that she was a motherless child alone in a world of awful and horrid people.
Evangeline sat down on a bench by the lake, closing her blue eyes. The sun beamed against her skin. Evangeline took a deep breath, relaxing in the early morning air.

Anna Kendrick had decided she wanted a walk. The weather was oddly perfect, the summer sun shining down on the green park below. Birds sang and children played. It would be a shame to waste such a brilliant morning.
As no one ever wants to walk alone, Anna had invited Brittany Snow-who unfortunately could not make it. Anna sighed, leaving the house and walking to the park by herself. When she arrived, she noticed a young girl alone on a bench. The girl had blonde hair in two braids and blue eyes. Anna found it odd that a girl no older than nine was sitting alone and could not help but go over to her.

"Why are you alone?" Anna asked.
The girl sighed, opening her eyes.
"I was relaxing, but that was until you decided to come." She replied, visibly frustrated.
Anna raised an eyebrow.
"Look, I'm just trying to understand something. But if you want to sit all alone and get kidnapped, be my guest."
The girl looked at Anna, before beginning to hum the song 'be our guest' . She payed no attention to Anna.
Wow, how nice. Anna thought.
"Kid, I could just go on enjoying my day and leave you by yourself. It's cool. But I'm sure you don't want to miss out on a conversation with Anna Kendrick. So."
The girl rolled her eyes, scoffing.
"Lady, I don't even know who Anna Kendrick is."
Well this is awkward
"You know, technically if you're alone it means you don't have permission to be here. And that means if someone were to say something, you'd get in trouble." Anna said carefully.
The girl only smirked. "Yeah, good luck with that."
Anna raised an eyebrow.
"K then. What do they call you?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Tell me, or I won't need luck with that as I'll talk to everyone in this place if I have to." Anna threatened.
The girl rolled her eyes, smiling.
"Evan. Or Evangeline. Whichever."
