Its been 3 weeks since November frost left. 3 weeks of loneliness and pain. Two weeks of being completely alone and one week of the neurotic new girl Andy. I can clearly remember the day I discovered she'd ran away, disappearing it tonight with only five words to spare. "I'll be back for you." I found the note taped to my bedroom window, which was odd since my room is on the second floor but I didn't question it. I've learned from 2 years of being friends with her never to question the things she does.
Now I have Andy. She tries her best to pull me out of my own little world just like November did but I refuse to let her. I refuse to let anyone get that close to me again, but that doesn't discourage her. She just sets her hands on her hips flips some of her thick wavy black hair out of her sea blue eyes and tries harder. She reminds me of November so much
~~two years earlier~~
"Hey your name is Leo right?" It didn't even sound like a question, but I looked up anyways. She had the eyes of an alley cat one brown and the other green and just the fierce. Her hair with a fiery red and cut into a pixie cut style.
"Correct miss Frost." I said, closing my book. She crossed her arms and scoffed. "No need to be so formal Leo I just need someone to work with. So!" She plopped down into the empty desk next to me, scooting it over so it was next to mine.
"I need you to help me!" She smiled a bright goofy grin. I sighed, brushing away some of my long black bangs that fell into my face
"Alright. What do you need help with."
She was so full of life when I first met her, climbing through my bedroom window and dragging me off on some adventure ( or revenge plot, which was almost every weekend) at 1 in the morning. She always said "no one suspects the quiet one" and had me drive her around the city egging houses or putting wild animals inside. I'd never knew how much I'd missed her until she left.
"You seem like a brainy boy so can you help me?" Andy pulling me out of my bitter sweet thoughts as she sat in the empty seat next to me. I sighed and flipped open to the correct page but I notice she was already done she must have noticed my confused look cause she was grinning mischievously." I only wanted an excuse to sit with you." She chirped, resting her chin on her folded hands I just stared at her blankly which caused her to squirm uncomfortably in her seat. finally I sighed and opened the book I was reading before. "Please leave miss Grey if that was all you wanted." I said in a bored, clipped tone.
She groaned "your no fun, let me get to know you!" she exclaimed, covering my book her hands. I just sighed and closed my book again.
"If I wanted you to know about me I would have offered information."I stated harsher than I intended to. I felt a little guilty but she just smiled like I told her the best joke. That caused me to scowl at her. "Then let me be your friend and I'll get to know you little by little!" she grinned and held out her hand for me to shake but I left her hanging. "Please leave miss Grey." I said in a clipped, icy tone. she sighed but didn't leave she instead started reading her book.
