"Oh no! David, I think I messed up!" I just realised that I forgot to book a room for myself. How could I forget that?
"Don't worry about it. You can of course sleep in my room. We'll just share the bed. I mean only if it's okay for you.."
"Yeah sure."
"Great, because for me that's more than okay." David added with a cheeky smile. They have gotten pretty flirty with each other resently. But they never kissed or anything. They both seemed to be okay with being stuck in the friendzone and still flirting with each other once in a while. Natalie just rolled her eyes without loosing her smile.
They entered David's room which has become their hotel room now. They were travelling alone without any of their friends because they didn't plan on really shooting something for the vlog in New York. They just had to go onto some meetings for an upcoming episode with the "Tonight show".
It was an exhausting day, they were stuck in an office for hours discussing all the details right after they landed. So this was the first time they entered the room and tomorrow at 1.00 p.m. they were already flying back to L.A.
"Oh my god, David! Look at that view!" Natalie ran up to the window.
She's so cute. They both shared their love for incredible views and right now the city by night with all the lights just looked like straight out of a magazine. He stood next to her. They were looking out of the window for a couple of seconds when David looked at Natalie's dreamy face from the side. When she noticed she turned to him with a smile.
"What?"
"Nothing. I just think you're beautiful that's why I like looking at you."
"David, stop." She said in a rather serious tone.
As I said, Natalie didn't mind the flirty relationship they were having but David sometimes took it a step too far. She was so afraid that they could ruin their friendship and not having him in her life was an unbearable thought.
"Nat, why are you always getting so defensive when I'm trying to give you a simple compliment?"
They stared into each others eyes. Both of them looked rather clueless.
"I just don't know where this is leading us. I already told you David. I'm so afraid of losing you. What if we just feel this weird attraction right now and break up in a few months?"
They already had this discussion. More than one time. It frustrated David because a few months ago he told her that he had a bit of a crush on her and that took him a lot of courage. He expected her to be less rational about it and just let her feelings be free. He knew that she had romantic feelings for him as well. It was the way she looked at him - so endearing. She also sometimes let a few comments drop that gave away pretty clear that she thinks that he is attractive.
Right now she was looking at him with a concerned face. He understood her thoughts but he also didn't want to ignore the fact of how strong his feelings were that he only had towards her. It felt like she was the only woman on this entire planet. It was Natalie or no-one.
He looks so handsome in this light. Ugh, Natalie who are you trying to fool. He looks handsome in every imaginable light. The way his eyes study my whole face. All I want is those lips on mine. Just once. But what happens after I know what they feel like? Are we going to pretend like nothing happened? I'm sure I couldn't content myself with only one little kiss. I want to feel him. Everything of him.
"Nat, I understand what you're saying but we can't ignore our feelings like that anymore!" He was saying in a rather harsh tone. She was actually surprised about his sudden openness.
She had to swallow. Her eyes grew bigger. He took one step closer to her. Now he was standing so close to him she swore she could hear his heart beat. At least she could feel it. She always felt what was on his mind. She knew him and she loved him.
"Tell me you don't want this and I will never bother you with it again." His voice was a little cracky and way more quiet than before.
After a few seconds in which Natalie stood there in shock looking up at him she resigned and said: "I can't."
His face relaxed and he got closer to her. "But isn't it wrong?", she whispered. He didn't care to answer. The next thing she knew was his lips on hers moving at a slow pace, gently.
Oh my god. He feels so good!
The kiss lasted for many seconds until she finally put her arms around him and he pulled her even closer to him holding her waist. They were moving to the bed. He gently placed her onto it and rested his body on his elbow so that she didn't have all of his weight on her. They continued to kiss for a long time. They couldn't let go of each other. She was running her hand through his hair and he gently carassed her cheeks while putting his tongue into her mouth. He kissed her mouth one last time until he burried his face in her neck and kissed her there. His hands wandered down her body and tried to pull up her shirt.
"David"
He let go of her body and looked down to her.
"We should stop."
He nodded and gave her a cute kiss onto her cheek. "I'm sorry I didn't want to rush you into something."
She gave him a warm smile.
My heart feels like it's about to jump out of my body because of joy. That was the most incredible thing ever.
He placed himself next to her and wrapped her into his arms. She rested her head on his chest and smiled into it.
"Goodnight Dave."
"Goodnight Natalie!" She loved the way he said her name. As if her name gave away how much he loved her and how precious she was to him.
