Ashton's P.O.V

As we got out X car the murmering started. Everyone had their own opinion on the fact that I had my arm around Lani.

I get it though. I wasnt used to having my arm around a girl in public either.

As we walked in to the building I saw some girl I probouly slept was crossing her arms and looking at me with a smirk.

"Ashton." She said while licking her lips and walking towards me.

"I dont know who you are, nor want to." I said while pushing past her and her little friends.

I tighten my grip on Lani and walked her to her locker.

"What's your first class today so I can pick you up?" I asked while leaning on the locker next to hers.

She looked so concentrated while carefully taking out all her books for her class for the day.

"I'm pretty sure I have math first, but why are you picking me up. I'm fine on my own y'know?" She said while closing her locker and swinging her bag over her shoulder.

I put my arm around her once more and continued to walk with her.

"Your a target, cant let you get hurt by the big bad fanclub."

"Two things. The big bad what, and two why am I a target?" She asked while looking up at me then back down.

"The big bad fanclub is basically my groupies, if you didnt know I get around. Also you're a target because people think I'm with you so I'm not available anymore, duh."

She stopped in front of her class and quickly pushed my arm off her body.

She looked at me straight in the eyes with a scowl and began to speak before she closed the door in my face.

"I dont need your "protection", got it?" And she walked away.

I walked away with a sigh to my first period class. Once the bell rung I didnt even bother picking Alania up because I didnt want to anger her. Again.

The first half of my day went by pretty fast and before I knew it, lunch came.

I went to Lani's locker so we could sit next to eachother and make it seem like we were a real couple. I decided to go back because 3 periods went by so she couldn't still be mad.

I saw her talking to Diamond so I eazied my way between them two.

"May I steal her for a second?" I said while raising an eyebrow and looking at Diamond.

She laughed a little then turned around while giving me a thumbs up.

"Shes all yours." She said while walking off.

"The reason why you interrupted is because?"

"You're sitting at my table today, and dont worry you can bring your little friend to."

She rolled her eyes then slammed her locker in my face. She started practically running down the hallways towards the lunch room.

I ran behind her catching up to her then panting while resting my hand on her shoulder.

"Dang girl slow down we have to talk." I managed to get out between the deep breaths.

She turned around raising an eyebrow with a straight face.

"What."

I moved closer to her and put my thumb under her chin to make her look at me.

"W-what are y-you d-doing?" She asked while suturing and looking confused.
