Starts off the story like every other superhero story. Them saving people, relying on their powers heavily.
Somewhere a 1/3 in they lose their powers. Maybe an accident happens. They lose a battle. Something where they get seriously injured. They cant use their powers but they dont panic because they think its temporary. Once they're healed though they still cant use them. They're in denial about losing them. Always thinking one more day. Maybe I'm not completely healed yet.
They realize with a spiral of optimism going into realism then pessimism.
When they finally realize they're not going to get their powers back they explode because the thought was always there.
"No! It's not okay! How can I possibly help those without my ____!?" Them going off. Not realizing that the only thing that changed was the flashiness of the power giving them attention. Rock theme song.
Second third they have come to terms with no powers. No more whiny mic whiny ass
Ends with them becoming a common day superhero. Policeman, firefighter, paramedic, nurse, something to match their previous way of helping people. Like if they would save people from common villains then they become a police officer, if they save people from natural disasters then firefighter. Based on they way, not the power. Some action scenes based on the hectic parts of their job. Ask someone with the job what is the most action packed and intense part of their job.
