Jace glared at the vampire. "How do we know you're telling the truth?"

"I could have gotten rid of him but instead I brought him here." Raphael looked at the blonde. "I don't want trouble with the Shadowhunters." He said.

"Smart decision." Aaliyah said, watching his every move.

"I warned the mundane to stay away but Camille gave him the taste of her own blood and, like an addict, he came back wanting more." He explained to the group about what happened, Clary glaring at the vampire with tears in her eyes.

"The only reason Simon ever tasted Camille's blood was because off you!" She said with venom. "You kidnapped him, you dragged him to Hotel Dumort, you delivered him to Camille!" She yelled.

"I never meant for this to happen." Raphael gritted out calmly. Watching the red head cry over her best friend, he took a seat before speaking again. "There is a way."

Jace looked to the vampire. "A way what?" He asked.

"A way to bring Simon back." Raphael answered.

"You can do that? How?" Clary questioned.

Sighing the Latino looked at Simon's body on the table. "He's a fledgling." He began. "It's a state of transition. Your friend can be resurrected."

"No." Jace said immediately knowing where Raphael was going with this.

"Clary, no." Isabelle looked at her.

"So I can bring Simon back?" Clary ignored their protests as she looked at Raphael. Once he nodded, she continued. "Alive and breathing?"

"That's just it! He won't return alive or breathing." Isabelle caught Clary's attention. "He'll be a vampire."

Clary stared at the raven haired girl before looking to Jace as he spoke up. "And not the sexed up, romantic kind." The blonde looked at Raphael. "Rather the ugly, bloodsucking, coffin dwelling kind."

The Latino looked at the blonde Shadowhunter. "That's offensive."

Jace glared at him. "Really?" He asked sarcastically.

Raphael leaned back in his seat and spoke. "Coffin applies wooden box. We have caskets now." He smirked. "They're made of 14 karat gold."

"My bad." Jace said with no emotion.

Raphael rolled his eyes before looking around. "It's almost sunrise." He said standing up. "Simon must be turned by tonight or be staked through the heart."

Clary stared at him with unshed tears. "And if I do neither?"

Raphael looked at the red head. "The soul will be trapped for all eternity." He was met with silence. "You have until sunset to decide. Clock is ticking."
