Have you ever wanted to escape reality? Just for a day or two? Most people say this is possibly by merely picking up a book and reading. I say that's bullshit. Hi I'm Avery. Avery Thomas, the small town girl that is always listening to metal and hates people.
My story begins at about two a.m. when I begin to drift to sleep. When I finally enter deep sleep, everything changes from normal sleep. I open my eyes and am immediately confused. There are people all around me and I'm very uncomfortable. If you caught on in the beginning, I am not a people person. But then I think to myself that  this is a dream so it's probably fine. These people are merely figments of my overactive imagination. Then I start to notice the small details of them. The dark hair, the black clothes, the smoke. Everything is like a dream come true to me, like I made this world myself (well, if I am dreaming I did technically). I get up from the dark purple sofa and find about thirty people of my similar gothic style standing around me. Watching me like I'm the most interesting person in the room. Then I see a very hot guy. Like SUPER hot. He seems looks over at me and in one look it's like I'm naked. I then look away, averting my eyes to some small crack on a nearby wall, to minimize the amount of awkwardness I feel. Did I do something wrong? I've never, in my whole life, had anyone look at me, nevermind a guy. Not like this. As I was starting to feel better about all of this, BOOM. Hes right there in front of my nose. The most handsome, sexy guy I had ever seen. And I HAD seen him before, just not in person. His name is Ricky Olson, and he plays for Motionless In White, my favorite band ever.
I start to feel awkward as he stares at me. Its almost like he is trying to x-ray me. I get called out of my own thoughts when I hear him speak finally. "Hi, you there. What are you doing here?" I look up and then am instantly nervous. He looks kind of mad. Then I start to say I will leave right away when he says to me "Its okay, this club just isnt for...girls like you". I'm getting kind of mad as he says this. What? What kind of girl was I to him?
"You probably shouldn't be out here alone, it's not the safest club" I look down and begin to walk toward the door and that's when I get shaken awake by my sister, Alison.
