Buzzing.
Spinning.
Buzzing.
Spinning.
That has been her mind for the past few hours.
Kar laid on the hard wooden floor, waiting for something to change. But it never happened.
The Buzzing in her head felt like a thousand sumos wrestled inside. Their heavy bodies banging against the boundaries of her brain but enclosed within her skull.
Spinning, came second after her thoughts got tired of vibrating in place. The event made her think of the times her sister would take her hands and they'd spin until their eyes did cartwheels in their sockets. The feeling was bittersweet because in both cases, Kar felt like she was going somewhere, but really wasn't.
If only something came after, but it was just a repeated cycle.
Buzz. Spin. Buzz . Spin.
Like a starfish, She stretched her hands along the wooden floor.
"Maybe if I do this, I won't feel like im sinking." She thought.
"Starfish don't sink."She began focusing on the hardness of the floor.
"It's cold, but it's not buzzing or spinning. That's nice." She took immense joy in feeling something different so, she continued.
"Tap tap." Her fingers went, moving along the surface. Another new sensation which moved Kar outside the chaos of her mind.
She didn't mind, of course. Not much happening there anyways. Now, came new sensations. For example, the skin on her face was not as cold as her hands or back.
"It's warm, almost burning. Life giving,"
Kar soon realized she felt the penetrating some rays of the upcoming sun.
"how long have I been laying here?"
For the 1st time, in what seems like forever, she opened her eyes. The sun came from her glass ceiling, and she stared at it.
She felt fixated to the wooden floor below her and she thought:
"must be nice to fly."
"must be nice to fly."
She drifted, her eyes closed.
"must be nice to fly."
Pictures of a flying Kar slowly faded into her mind.
Birds, clouds. Blue sky.
"It's so high up here."
She counted the leaves on the trees , and felt her hair sway in the wind.
So much to focus on and-
No Buzzing.
No Spinning.
She rested. Stuck on the wooden floor.
Physically that is, everything else. Was in the sky.
