I was at my nanas house when my uncle asked me if I wanted to go for a sail. I didn't know at the time that boats were my passion but I would soon realise. We went to a boating club (MOFSC) where his boat was stored. It was amazing, I hadn't seen a sailboat up close before! It had so many ropes and even had this thing called a boom. It took me seconds once we were sailing to realise what the boom was and how it got its name! It swung across and BOOM whacked my head! After that I didn't sail for a long time.
Some time later I went for a sail in a littler boat called a optimist. It was awesome a talent! I was a natural at this boat and had found my passion, boating! This I enjoyed a lot and eventually became a support boat driver! This was awesome being on a motor boat (without a boom). I have saved two lives so far and many more to come.
