Rainstorm (Twice fic)

She was there for Mina when the broken girl lie on the harsh, wet concrete, unconscious, bleeding from her nose, and housing four broke  ribs because she thought the only way to silence her pain was to leap from the tall, threatening ledge that still beckons her at times.

She was there for Mina when she pulled the trigger, the bullet lodging itself in the soft flesh of the girl's stomach, disrupting the normal flow of blood, and impaling the organs that worked ever so hard to keep this creature alive, despite the chemical war inside her brain protesting otherwise.

She was there for Mina when she pushed against the waters, gulping in the chlorine filled fluid, her lungs crying for a breath of dry air, as the water poured endlessly inside like a raging hurricane.

And now Jihyo is here for Mina again, who is lying on the ground, twitching as the convulsions rocked her weakened body. Saliva bubbled and frothed out of her mouth, and her eyes rolled continuously back in her head. Brightly colored pills that have spilled out of an eye catching orange container told Jihyo everything she needed to know.

She instinctively rushed to the phone, and dialed the three digits her fingers were all too familiar with. The operator answered, and as soon as Jihyo told her the address, she didn't need to know anymore.

Jihyo held Mina's hand the whole ambulance ride, the girl unconscious, pulse weakend, breathing mask secured over her face, and an IV stuck in her arm, drawing blood that has been spilled too much from this girl's scarred body. She clutched Mina's hand so tightly, her fingertips turned white. Throughout the whole ordeal, Jihyo's heart remained calm. No irregular, fast beating. No signs of any anxiety. This was almost like routine to Jihyo now, as much as she hated to admit it. She squeezed Mina's hand, staring at her with dead eyes, the wail of the ambulance siren filling her ears.
