Old or New ?

Part One

    Monday after school I have this tradition of going to Family Video and renting a movie. Than I go home and watch it to escape reality for a hour or so. So here I am on my way there after another shitty day at Hawkins High. I pull into a parking space and turn my car off and make my way across the strip mall's parking lot towards Family Video. As I approach the sidewalk I get brought back to reality when a blue Camaro almost runs me over. "What the fuck asshole?!" I slam my hands on the hood of the car. 

    The passenger door swings open and a red headed girl hops out and runs into Palace Arcade. Next than I know the driver side door opens and out steps the best looking guy I have ever seen. He is in Levis and a white tee shirt with a brown leather jacket. Like a modern day James Dean of all things. With curly dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. His smooth voice breaks me out of the trance he has me in." Sorry I didn't see you." A cocky smile spreads across that chiseled face of his. "You're so charming." I respond sarcastically. He chuckles and puts a cigarette in his mouth. "I'm Billy , Billy Hargrove." I glance down at the  license plate which reads California, I knew he couldn't be from around here  ." I'm Mackenzie." With that I turn on my heel and head towards the video store. "I'll see you around?!" Billy yells across the parking spaces. I turn around with a small smile . "Maybe." A smile spreads across his face as he slides back into his Camaro, and speeds out of the parking lot.

    As I scan the aisles of movies I can't stop thinking about Billy. Knowing I don't want to have romantic feelings for anyone since what happened a year ago. Steve Harrington broke my heart when he left me for Nancy Wheeler. Nancy fucking Wheeler the typical girl next door. Every guys' fantasy, I guess. She and I are far from the same type of girl. I wear all black, heels , and leather jackets. She wears a ballet slipper pendant necklace, pastels , and cares what people think. I mean yeah I didn't even know why Steve was interested in me originally since he is popular and has a way different style than I do. But once we started dating I found out we had a lot in common just he felt like he had to blend in and be something different than himself. Maybe that was why he broke up with me for her . Or maybe it was something Tommy H said I don't really know for sure but he and I do speak just not like before ,obviously. My eyes land on The Outsiders , so I decide that'll work for a rental today ,besides let's be honest Patrick Swayze is a beautiful man. And I can have feelings for celebrities and not get my heart crushed in the process.
