Fire. Out of all the classes I took, I had to be in this one when it started. Instruments and stands were scattered across the floor. I tripped over one and would have fallen if my best friend Diana hadn't grabbed my arm.
We ran together, with smoke clogging our lungs. I tried to open the door, but it was bolted shut. Diana kicks the door, but it sets her shoe on fire. Suddenly, someone crashes into the door and it collapses. "Sara!", I scream. Sara was just another kid in my class. She didn't say anything, just nodded, grabbed my hand, and ran.
The building was going to collapse. I could feel it. I was certain I would die. Diana would die and Sara would die. I closed my eyes as I walked past bodies strewn onto the ground. Jana, Rick, Horace, Dori. Why them?
I was hyperventilating but I saw the exit. I was almost there. We were almost there.
Suddenly, the whole building collapsed. I felt something tiny and forcefully go into my forehead. After that, everything went black.
