Im not a cat!

"Cat people.." Gary whispered to me in a low voice, we both stared at the two ventrexian talking and chuckling together across the room. I squinted playfully as I locked eyes with Little Cato, I couldn't fight off the blush that rose to my cheeks as his face turned up to smile and laugh. "Weird.." I mumbled, me and Gary turned to look at each other and back at the father and son. "Strange creatures aren't they Y/N just look at them. All furry and stuff" Gary spoke before grinning "Avocado purrs did you know that" he turned to me with a big grin. I looked over with a surprised smile "no way" I chuckled, "yes way, when he was brushing his fur he started to purr! It was crazy!" He laughed causing me to burst out laughing as well as drawing the two ventrexians attention.

"Oh! If Avacato purrs that must mean Little Cato does too!" Gary exclaimed excitedly, I looked over and smiled "let's make a bet." I giggled excitedly. He raised an eyebrow playfully with a grin of his own, "what kind of bet? Does it involve cookies?!" He asked his eyes lightening up from the word cookie. "You bet!" I giggled again, "if I can prove Little Cato purrs you gotta give me cookies if I can't prove it I'll
give you cookies!" I suggested immediately grabbing Gary's attention. "I'm in! You have until tonight to prove it!" Gary grinned pointing at me in excitement, my grin widened "I will prove it and I will get those cookies!" I argued back pointing at him back, giggling.

"What are they doing.." Little Cato asked in confusion as he stared at me and Gary pointing at each other grinning. "I dunno, probably talking about cookies or something, it's Y/N and Gary we're talking about after all." Avacato replied staring at us with an raised eyebrow.

I smiled to myself as I walked down the hallway loading to Little Cato's vent entrance, "hey A.V.A?" I called out, the AI immediately replying. "Yes Y/N?" She asked, I smiled to myself and said "can you record Little Cato purring for me? And then start playing it throughout the ship please hehe" I requested, "Mhmmm, sure" she agreed. I grinned to myself before quietly but swiftly unlocked the vent leading into Little Catos room before pushing myself up and through the vent. "This is kinda stupid" I giggled to myself, "typical cat to want to do this every day" I giggled again with a playful roll of my eyes. Due to my small frame I managed to crawl through the vents with ease. "Hey Little Cato" I said as I pushed the vent up and jumped off landing onto the concrete flooring. "Oh hey Y/N" he replied looking over with a small smile, I giggled brushing my hair behind my ear before climbing onto his bed next to him. "Whatcha doin'" I asked looking over at the device he had in his hands. "Just playin a game, it's called Mortal Combat, it's a human game do you know it?" He asked his eyes lightening up in interest, I couldn't help but giggle at his childish behaviour.

"No, what is it?" I asked leaning closer over to him to look down at the screen which had to men on opposite sides of the screen with their fists raised. Little Cato looked down at you, his ears sticking up higher as embarrassment started to kick in. "Um yeah, so uh it's basically just a fighting game" Little Cato replied rubbing the back of his neck nervously. I looked up and smiled at his nervous and embarrassed state, "you're cute" I giggled ruffling up his hair playfully. "Hfft" he mumbled glaring at me in annoyance, my smile widened when an idea came to mind "soo cuteee" I playfully drew out ruffling his head up even more.

"Shut up!" He yelled trying to push me away, I couldn't help but giggle at the sight of his tiny fangs showing. He hissed at me which caused me to burst out laughing, "easy kitty easy" I teased through giggles causing him to hiss out louder and more furiously. "I'm not a kitty U/N!" He hissed trying to claw at me, "naw kitty!" I cooed in a baby voice pulling him close to my chest as I scratched behind his neck, "I'm not a cat!" He hissed out thrashing but he suddenly started to lose his strength and he instantly started to purr and close his eyes. I giggled and smiled at down at the cute scene, I scratched the area harder causing Little Cato to purr out louder, his tail waving playfully.

"Not a cat huh?" I playfully said as I trailed my nails around the back of his ears and neck, through loud purrs he surprisingly managed to make out a weak "shut up". I let out a loud giggle as I felt my cheeks and ears heat up 'he's so cute' I thought as he titled his head back to get me to scratch the top of his head which revealed the small smile on his face. Suddenly a loud echoing voice said "Listen to Little Cato purring everyone isn't that cute?" A.V.A said, replaying a recorded audio of Little Cato purring loudly. "Gah!" Little Cato immediately shot up in alarm "A-A.V.A!" he yelled out in embarrassment and anger, his tail and ears standing up at full attention.

"Sorry Little Cato but I had too." A.V.A laughed causing Little Cato to groan out and rub his hands onto his face. I giggled and blushed awkwardly as Lil Cato looked over and glared me harshly, "Sorry Spider Cat but I had a bet that I had to win" I giggled. "Huh?" He asked his eyebrow raising in confusion, "GOD DAMMIT!" Gary yelled out causing me to bust out in laughter. "NOOOOOOO! MY COOOOOKIEEEEES!" He yelled, "Y/N what bet?" Little Cato asked me with a annoyed look on his face. I cleared my throat and looked down "me and Gary made a bet that if I could get you to purr before midnight he would have to make me a bunch of cookies." I replied shamefully, guilt suddenly washing over me.

He hissed in annoyance and huffed out fussingly before crossing his arms, he glared at me harshly and I shyly eyed him back. "I'm sorry" I apologised reaching out and stroking his orange coated fur cheek apologetically. "Mhph" he mumbled looking off to the side with a frown, I let out a weak giggle and started to scratch behind his ear again in attempt to make him forgive me. "Screw you Y/N" he purred as he gave in, his eyes fell shut as he leaned into my hand. "God you're so cute" I muttered, "so soft and fluffy" I continued as he leant in closer to try to get more scratches. His small smile didn't pass me however.

"Was it worth it? Little Cato mumbled as he glared at me while I eat a plate full of cookies, "yes." I mumbled with a full mouth. He rolled his eyes and smirked with a chuckle, I giggled after swallowing. "I know you love me petting you kitty" I teased waving a half eaten cookie in his face. "Pfft." He mumbled crossing his arms.
