I was doing a meet and greet, at vidcon to be exact. The sun was blazing down on me and all I wanted to do was go back to our Airbnb. Don't get me wrong, I've always enjoyed interacting with my audience but at this point the heat was getting horrendous.
I adjusted my hat, glancing at my friends meeting their fans and I couldn't help but smile. My line had died down by now, all of them running over to mostly Ani and Aksel. I decided to also go over to them, not having anything better to do.
Upon my arrival, Ani immediately grinned and turned her camera to face me,
"Look who decided to say hi!" She laughed, getting into frame with me. I wasn't exactly the best when it came to being in other people's vlogs, so I just smiled and laughed at her comment. She left a few seconds afterwards though, going back to Henry and I just stood near Aksel, hoping to atleast get in some sort of conversation with him soon.
Just as he was finished, I heard a sudden scream from behind me. It made my stomach turn and I felt uneasy. The scream was not normal. It was as if someone was in pain. I stood frozen, not being able to move a single body part of mine until I noticed Aksel turning around and immediately grabbing my arm, beginning to run.
"Wait- What's going on?" I asked, scared yet confused on the situation.
"I would just run if I were you, idiot." Aksel replied, already beginning to feel out of breath.
I looked behind me while running, watching as Ani and Henry ran off in the opposite direction, a group of people chasing after them, who may of caused this chaos. Everyone else appeared to have already dipped, which left me and Aksel together. I turned back to look at what was in front of me, noticing how Aksel was leading me in an unknown direction.
"Do you know exactly where you're going?" I asked, his grip only getting tighter on my arm.
"Does that really matter at this point in time?" He replied, his voice dripping in sarcasm. We had ran into an alleyway, Aksel had now let go of my arm and I rubbed it, a red mark now appearing from his tight grip. I glared at him.
"Don't look at me like that, I saved your goddamn life!" He yelled.
"If it wasn't for me, you would be dead by now."
My eyes softened. That definitely explained the screaming I had heard, and I began feeling guilty.
"How was I supposed to know? I didn't see what was going on, you just pulled me away from the scene!" I responded, now looking at my feet, feeling awkward.
"It doesn't matter okay? Just.. We cannot go back to the conven-"
"Well what about Ani? a-and Henry, Tyler, Brandon... What about them Aksel?" I cut him off, now getting closer to him.
He sighed, rubbing his temples and leaning on the brick wall at the side of him.
"I don't know alright? In that situation I only cared about keeping you alive." He replied, avoiding eye contact with me and fidgeting with his hands. His voice had turned quiet, and a sudden wave of guilt went through me.
