Y/N's pov
I just recently found out that my dog, y/d/n, died. I was always so close with him. He helped me get through awful school and work.
I came home one day to cuddle with my dog because I had a terrible day at school. I failed 3 tests, I lost 2 friends, and this girl at school was being a butt to me. My boyfriend was on tour with his band in Asia and I didn't want to disturb him because I know he's busy. Y/d/n didn't really like him at first. But then he realized that Daniel is amazing and he will take care of me. Which was kinda cute when Daniel was scared of him at times.
I walked around but I couldn't find y/d/n anywhere. I look around the corner and saw my poor pup laying on the ground. I ran over to him/her and felt for a heart beat. I felt one! But then it slowly started to stop. Beat. Beat...bea- that was it. I said "Y/d/n Please don't go. I need you. Your the only one that keeps me calm and still. You are the only one that makes me feel. You. I only need you. Please don't go!" The next thing I knew I heard a knock at the door.
"Daniel." Daniel was standing right outside with a smile on his face. That is until he saw my face, and that beautiful smile immediately dropped. "Babygirl what happened?" I fell on him just crying into his chest. He stroked my hair and cheek to calm me down so then I could talk. I finally did and told him everything. "Aww baby I'm so so so sorry. But he/she's-" I cut him off " In a better place now. I know. That's what they all say. But what if they're not. How would we know?!" Daniel looked at me while I literally screamed at him for something no one could help. I started crying again. His eyes immediately went soft like butter.
3 months later
I was in my bathroom doing makeup when I look over and see the picture of my beautiful puppy. It was when he/she turned 4 and I took him/her to the dog park to play but then he/she dropped the ball tripped. I couldn't stop laughing.
At that point I started tearing up. My vision went blurry. Then I felt strong muscular arms wrap around my waist. I knew exactly who it was so I wasn't alarmed. I laid my head back on his shoulder and closed my eyes and he just moved our hips from left to right. Then he said " I know this is hard for you baby. I really do. Y/d/n was our best friend. Yes I said "OUR" because he didn't like me when I first met him. But then he warmed up to me. But trust me when I say this, everything is going to be okay. I promise baby."
With that, Daniel and I decided not to go out and just have a Netflix marathon with junk food and lots of cuddles.
