Poem 1.
JUST LISTEN
When I want to talk no one is there to listen
When I can't talk, your always there
Just sit back and listen
My mind is an on going maze
My heart is confused.
Broken up into pieces
Twisted.
Turned.
Clenched.
Burned.
Pulled. And. Pricked.
I'm not sure I can really explain
I'm not sure I will really talk about it
Theres a lot
A whole lot
Pain.
Fear.
Confusion.
The most prominent : Hurt.
Explanations are hard.
Because things happen
People get hurt
Emotions are messed with.
And those tears ... They fall
No matter how much you hold them in.
They will fall
You will break
And it will hurt.
As for myself... I won't talk.
Just think.
One day. Someday.
I'm just going to need someone to listen.
Listen before you respond.
Just listen.
Then respond .
Talking takes out a lot emotionally.
Which is why I refuse.
I refuse to break down in public.
I refuse
I refuse
I refuse
I'm fine becomes a common saying
These eyes build up a voided wall
And my heart
It's broken but shielded.
So when I need you to listen
Just listen.
