Slice Of Heaven

Flying over lego houses,

Candy floss clouds rolling by,

Soaking my cape,

As I fly through the sky.

Reaching my hands out, shouting magic words,

Shooting out flames of gold,

My wand held high,

For all to behold.

Walking over catiously,

Waters of crystal blue,

My feet so light;

I never knew.

Thunder rumbling over head,

Pounded by light drizzling rain,

Across the dew wet fields, my sword held tight,

Hunted as I make my way.

Nothing ever does come true,

When I wish on stars.

But even now i'm old an grey,

I know what they all are.

My wishes from my childhood,

And my dreams from the past,

May never really come to be,

But at least I know at last.

That even though I will never fly,

Or learn to ride a dragon.

I will always have you by my side,

My little slice of heaven.
