When will I see you again

Chapter 1

This is the story of the war between Earth and Mars. The majority of the story takes place on Mars. Because the Earth ended up so polluted that it could not support life. The pollution started with the atmosphere making the air less and less breathable. Then it started killing the plants, and poisoning the water along with the animals that needed it

"Amin, you need to get up."

"Yes. I will in a sec Marth." I told my robot assistant.

"You will get up now or you will miss the unveiling of your new invention." Marth had a point. I thought as I got up. " Great, now I can make flapjacks for you." Oh no not again.

"Marth you grabbed mercury instead of milk." I told the robot worryingly.

"Yes it will add more fla-flav-fla-flavor yours ne-nev-ne-never have enough ta-ta-taste." She started glitching as my phone rang.

"Hello. This is Amin." I answered.

"Amin come on the ceremony is about to start. You can't miss this opportunity to change the world."

"Alright I'm on my way babe. Love you." I said as I hung up the phone. " Sorry Marth I have to go I'm late."

"Aww I never get t-t-to c-c-cook for you." She said as I walked through the door. Running through the streets I looked at the world my great grandmother ruined. The world I was about to change for the better. When I arrived at the stadium I looked at the date, time, and place. November, 3, 2040 12:56 A.M. " Good. Let's do this."

"Ladies and gentlemen, this day, 20 years ago, Isabel Rose Newton created this great city and every invention in it. Now, if you will welcome them, her great grandsons are here to present two new inventions. That you the audience will vote on which invention you want to welcome into your great city. Now the oldest grandson Alexander Ash Newton." The announcer declared.

"Halloo city of Haven for you and all who come after you! I have a device for you that will at the push of a button. Destroy all of the savages outside of our grand city. Allowing us to successfully invade Mars, and allow us to move on to Jupiter." My brother was as blind as the rest of them. But I was about to make them see the truth.

"Great, job Alexander. Now the youngest brother, Amin Jack Newton." As the announcer said this my brother left the stage, and paused beside me.

"Good luck, savage." He told me, and walked off as I walked onto the stage adjusting my helmet.

"Thank you for your attendance to this ceremony today." I said to the audience while adjusting my helmet. " Today, I have a machine that will allow us to go back in time and fix our mistakes. To give us a second chance to keep our Earth habitable." I checked the time again. Now I'm calling my lovely assistant, Devin to help me show that it works." I couldn't help but notice that my fiancée looked worried. He brushed his beautiful red hair away from his face. "My assistant will enter my machine and be sent back in time ten seconds." He stepped into the machine. I looked in front of me something was wrong he should have been in front of me. "Stop Devin something's not right." I called to him but it was too late. I opened the door to the machine and my love was gone. I fell to my knees right there and cried in front of the last of the human race.
