I was performing at a gig at a coffee shop one morning, just to strum up some experience of my own in the music business since that's how I plan to live my life in the future. I was constantly trying to rival with another musician who played there - who was very skilled - and I guess I just didn't rank up.

The clouds were very ominous that day, to say the least, I noticed as I left the shop. Felt like it was about to rain but never did. Just gray covers, blanketing the sky, hiding the sun. Very bleak atmosphere. I was used to it, it just beats down on my enthusiasm sometimes, even with music having been my escape not even 10 minutes ago. Oddly though, certain clouds seemed to be twirling downward toward the town. They were of darker color with a very suspicious feeling tied to them.

I walked down with my guitar in its case, strung on my back and all. I observed everyone as they walked by. Sometimes when you're bored, you just start people-watching. Everyone does it, y'know. No shame in it either, we all have our lives to live and it's just fascinating sometimes watching others live it.

As I walked up, I noticed a small crowd of people gathering in front of one old antique store. The store was the bottom level of a five story building. All of their heads were arched upwards. Curious, I did the same. To my surprise, a woman was on top of the roof. Her arms were outstretched as if she were about to jump. My eyes widened, everyone else was frozen.

Slowly, her feet slipped, and she began falling from the roof of the building, her back impending on the pavement, and her head just lifelessly gazing at the clouds circling her. The sky only darkened, and a few drops began to fall in turn with the falling angel.

No one moved. No one made a sound. They just watched the girl drop. Too stunned to react in time. In the back of my mind, I was thinking to do the same, but my feet began to move as if being pulled by a mysterious force. I ran. The wind blasted past my face, I was bolting at full speed, meeting and colliding with the girl falling at full speed. Beautifully, I caught her, while also falling on my back. Luckily, my guitar case kinda broke both our falls. It still hurt like hell, but I think I might've saved her life. Everyone looked, clapping at what I did, yet in the back of their minds feeling guilt that they didn't just do it themselves. I tried to sit up and hold the girl in my arms. Her eyelids were fading across her eyes; in between opening and closing. I couldn't tell if she was dying or passing out. Either way, I got myself up on my feet and started to carry her. I couldn't carry her to the hospital because the hospitals weren't walking distance, so I decided I'd take her home first and from there, I could drive her.

It was strange running through town that night. Stranger than anything I'd ever done. Running by, carrying a guitar on my back and a girl in my arms. People will bat the strangest looks sometimes. I didn't care. I just knew I had to get that girl somewhere she'll be okay.

When I entered my neighborhood, I felt the girl coming to her senses. This may sound weird, but I could've sworn as I was running, the girl started to glow. Like this snow white, pure, heavenly glow around her entire body. Though it was faint and mixed with the slight rain drops that fell inconsistently against her body, I knew it was a glow of some sort. She had the complexion of a very well-kept, almost princess-like person. Why a girl like her would jump, I have no idea.

Her eyes began to open and she saw my face from just under my shoulders and appeared surprised.

"I'm taking you to the hospital," I told her so she wouldn't freak out. Her eyelids began to close again, but she started talking. Her voice sounded majestic in a way, also princess-like.

"Don't take me...don't take me to a hospital," she urged me, her soft hands grabbing my shirt.

"Why not?" I asked, confused.
