I write typical and predictable stories. If your taste is unique, you can't find it here. I'm not a professional writer and still learning, I am not here to please you. I just simply wanna share for FREE. So please, if you're a perfectionist who wants to read a very clean novel, leave my works.

I've been hearing a lot of gossips that I was the unholy mess in the family. At first, I couldn't understand why but while growing up without a complete family makes me think that I really am. I feel like I ain't belong because I have no permanent home to live in since I was a kid. Although, both sides never made me feel that bad but still...

"I said no, Sileas," Mommy said sternly.

"But it's vacation, let me be with Villareals!"

Her critical eyes darted on me, I shivered in nervous. The white curtain behind her was slightly blown by the cold wind, she sipped on her wine glass while looking at me frigidly.

"Can't you understand that you need to study more because your grades are heading down?"

My heart quenched.

Why does she always need to remind me that? Am I not doing well? I wanted to laugh at that. Of course, I'm doing my best to make her proud but she can't see it. My grades this sem just went a bit lower than my first sem but I didn't fail.

"I understand, Mommy. One week lang naman ako kay Papa, sana mapagbigyan mo iyon dahil ilang buwan ko na siyang hindi nakakasama."

I didn't leave her eyes and I could almost see my own brave eyes tonight.

She should get convinced that I want to be with my father. I just got out of senior high and college life sucks, I need ears and Papa's the best listener.

She sighed heavily.

"Alright, one week."

Yes!

I smiled slightly. "Thanks, Mom."

She just stared at me, even though she's my mother—I feel always intimidated.

I inhaled. "I'll be good."

She doesn't trust me... I know that.

I went out of her room with a smile and walked directly into my room to call Papa, sumampa ako sa kama at nag-indian sit habang hinihintay ang sagot.

I'm so excited to see him again and be with my cousins, hindi ko sila gaanong close noon pero hindi nila pinaramdam sa akin na iba ako kaya kalaunan kaming naging malapit. I got to know them when I turned fifteen and moved into the Philippines. Villareals are very welcoming.

Ever since, I was in Mommy's household and Papa was just visiting Miami to see me back then.

"Hello, Papa!" I giggled.

"What's up, baby girl?"

I groaned. "I'm eighteen! Stop calling me that!"

"Alright, big baby! So how was your talk with your Mum?"

I rolled my eyes but smiling.
