Flowers bloom in dead of winter;

Barren trees now bright against a dull gray sky.

How could this have happened?

I looked up into your eyes and the world turned inside out.

Did you feel it too?

I lost my self, the green forest of your eyes was enchanting,

I need to run my fingers through your night-black hair,

with one glance I was mesmerized;

You passed me by no hesitation in your step.

Suddenly the world has frozen again.

Could flowers of truly bloomed through this icy dirt?

there is only the lifeless dust left below my feet;

then, suddenly I find myself staring into your eyes again,

hand-stretched out, a light blush across your features,

a small scrap of paper clutched between your fingers

numbers scribbled with messy handwriting adorn the paper.

Staring into your eyes I gently grasp the paper;

Our fingers brush one another momentarily.

A smile stretched across your face at the touch

Your smile, it drove away the dull gray clouds above

The flowers are blooming again,

The trees once bear and dismal; now green standing full in the sunlight.

How could I've survived this long without you?
