Ten years earlier, 3 years old
He looked at his twin. It was their birthday. "Happy birthday Mal."
"Happy birthday Ej." Malum, his twin, says.
CRASH
Elijah grabs his twins hand. "What was that?" Mal asks and looks at his twin.
"Whatever it was, it came from the sunroom."
The sunroom... where their parents were expecting them.
They nod to each other and run, holding hands, into the sunroom. "Mama? Papa?" They call out. They look around the room, no onrs there.
Thump
Thump
They turn around. "M-Mama! P-Papa!"
Elijah sits up straight and fast. His breathing was uneven and his heart beat fast.
"Ej?" Malum asks from the bunk above Elijah. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah just a bad dream." He says and pulls his leg over the bed and gets down. "I'm gonna go ahead and get ready." Elijah walks over to the closet and grabs the school uniform. (Uptop) He then walks into the bathroom and takes a shower. When he finishes his shower he dries his hair, fixes it, and puts the uniform on. He walks back into his and Malums room. "Mal, wakey wakey, get ready, I'm gonna make some breakfast."
At school
Elijah waves to Mal before leaving to go to his locker. When he gets to his locker he's confronted by the popular kids.
"Hey loser!" One of the popular kids say.
"What do you want Vicki?" Elijah asks as he turns to look at them.
"Do our homework nerd!"
"For the last time, I'm not a nerd and I'm not doing your homework for you, just because I have glasses doesn't mean I'm a ne-" Elijah is cut off by someone shoving him into the lockers, hard.
"You better do as we say punk!"
"Just leave me alone!" Elijah says and straightens his shirt up a bit. Then someone punches him, they start kicking him and beating him until he is bloody, bruised, and on the floor. Someone snickers as they start to walk off.
"Weak."
A few minutes later
Mal comes running up to Elijah. "Ej, what happened?!"
"Vicki and her gang beat me up.." Elijah says, Mal's eyes narrow, then soften as he looks at his brother.
"Come one lets get you to the nurse."
The bullying continued, until 8th grade, in 8th grade, it was like Elijah and Malum dissapeared, off the face of the earth. This happened to 7 other kids in their school, Mera, Adam, Nip, Aurora, Mary, Tori, and Olivia.
