Affair

~Chapter 1~

Ross got Amara's luggage, taking a moment to admire the island.

"Mamá! Bampás!" Amara called. She shot Ross a smile before rushing off towards her parents and hugging them. They laughed and hugged her tightly back. Ross approached them, getting hugs from the two as well.

"Welcome to Skopelos, my boy!" Amara's father, Demos, said with a smile. Any anxiety Ross had vanished. Amara's parents ushered them towards the truck. Amara sat in the back with Ross.

"And you were so scared that they were gonna hate you." Amara teased. Ross rolled his eyes, nudging her.

"I still have to impress your brother." He reminded. Amara chuckled.

"You have nothing to worry about. Alexei is gonna love you, I promise." Amara assured as she placed a hand on his cheek. Ross smiled, leaning over and pecking her cheek. The truck soon stopped and Amara hopped out.

"Alexei, I adelfi sou einai edó!" Basilia, Amara's mother, called. Ross smiled at Demos when he helped with the luggage.

"Alex!" Ross looked over, watching Amara jump into the arms of a young man. Alexei put his sister down after they shared a hug and walked over to Ross. Alexei looked him over before grinning and hugging him.

"Mara never mentioned that you were hot." Alexei purred, pulling back with a playful glint. Ross blinked, feeling his face heat up a bit.

"I hope you're not threatening him, Alex," Basilia said, her hands on her hips. Alexei looked at her with an innocent smile.

"I'm saving that for the wedding speech." He replied, sending Ross a small smile. Alexei moved back and took some of the luggage from his father.

"Damn, what the hell is in here? Bricks?" Alexei huffed.

"No, you're just fat." Amara smiled, entering the town.

"No, you're just fat." Alexei quietly mocked her, following her up the few sets of stairs. Ross chuckled quietly, looking around at the shops. They continued through the town, heading up some stairs until they reached houses.

"This your first time on a Greek island?" Alexei asked. Ross nodded, giving a small smile. Alexei hummed, eyeing him. Ross wasn't sure how to feel about Alexei shamelessly checking him out.

"You'll love it here," Alexei assured, nudging him a bit as he led him into a home.

"You and Amara are gonna stay here until you head back to America," Alexei told him, placing the carrier on the bed. Ross hummed.

"Thanks-"

"I'm always around if you need me," Alexei said, grinning as he toyed with the collar of Ross shirt.

"I'll see you at the party tonight?" Alexei tilted his head. Ross nodded, looking into Alexei's warm brown eyes. Alexei smiled and nodded.

"Great, see you there." He walked away, hand brushing against Ross's. Ross turned around, watching him walk away. He had to admit, Alexei was very attractive. Ross shook his head. He was engaged to his sister. Ross sighed, going over to a window and opening it. He smiled at the view of the ocean.

"How do you like it so far, babe?" Amara asked, a hand reaching up to tuck one of his curls behind his ear. Ross looked at her.

"It's beautiful here and you're family is way more welcoming than I expected," Ross said. Amara smiled.

Ross looked around the shops, greeting the locals. Amara looked over some jewelry, trying it on. Ross noticed Alexei and turned his head, seeing him laughing with a young guy. Alexei looked up, smiling at him. Ross glanced at his open shirt before focusing on some random items.

"I hope you don't mind me stealing Ross away." Alexei purred, grabbing his arm.

"As long as you don't kill him," Amara replied, more focused on hats. Alexei grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him away. They headed down some stairs until they got to the beach.

"Where are you taking me?" Ross asked, a bit nervous. Alexei sucked his teeth.

"Relax, Ross!" Alexei chuckled, leading him to a mountainside. There was a small area that gave them privacy since the rocks covered the view. Alexei turned around, smiling.

"I just wanna bond with my sister's future husband."

"Right..." Ross mumbled, watching him take off the shirt. Alexei rolled his eyes, kicking off his shoes and jumped into the water. Ross followed, entering the water normally. Alexei got closer to him.

"How'd you meet Amara?" He asked.

"Through a friend."

"How boring," Alexei mumbled, splashing him. Ross smiled, splashing him back. The boys quickly got into a small water war, splashing each other and swimming around. They got out once the sun started to set and sat, watching the sky change colors.

"Who was the guy you were talking to?"

"Skyler... My ex." Alexei replied quietly, resting his arms on his knees. Ross licked his lips.

"I don't have a man of honor yet.." Alexei turned his head, looking at him. Ross cleared his throat.

"Would you like to-"

"Yeah." He smiled, nodding. They looked in the direction of music playing.

"Come on, you don't wanna miss out on the party." Alexei smiled, grabbing his shirt and putting it on as he stood. They followed the music and Alexei was dragged away by his friends. Ross chose to go to the mini bar, watching Amara dance with her friends. His eyes moved over to Alexei. The male flashed Ross a smile, eyes asking him to join them. Ross shook his head, ordering something to drink. Alexei scoffed and walked over to him.

"Save it for him, he's gonna dance," Alexei said, grabbing his arm and dragging him onto the dance floor.

"Enjoy yourself, Ross!" Alexei shouted over the music and even then Ross could barely hear him. Skyler pulled Alexei back from behind and Ross felt a pinch in his heart. Maybe because he got a bad vibe from Skyler. Maybe because Alexei seemed uncomfortable in his arms. Alexei wiggled out of his grip, shooting Skyler a small glare. Ross was about to ask if he was okay but Amara grabbed his arms.

"You two were gone forever! I thought Alexei really had murdered you!" Amara laughed.

"Yeah, sorry!" He smiled, glancing back to where Alexei once stood but the male was gone.

"Come on! Dance!" Amara giggled. Ross danced with her and tried to enjoy his night but his mind kept drifting back to Alexei.
