That Akwo Taco Moment when you almost die

 The pain is dizzying so dizzying it almost blinds Alec. he's suddenly aware of Jace his dark gold eyes boring into Alec. Face filled with concern he is vaguely aware of Isabell yelling his name and the two mundanes talking. He does his best to focus on Jace. "Did I kill it?" he needs to know. "You-" before Jace can finish his sentence Clary - The mundane butts in "Yes, it's dead." Alec laughs, he can feel his dry mouth filled with a coppery feeling as blood bubbled up. He can feel Jace's hands on his face. They're rough and familiar "Don't," he says "Hold still, just hold still" Alec closes his eyes "Do what you have to" it comes out a whisper. "Take it" he hears Isabelle's voice she sounds far away. He can feel the familiar burn of the stele. He can barely hear it sounds far away from him.

Alec must've blacked out because when he opens his eyes again he's no longer in the apartment. He's in the mundane's van.

He can feel the pressure of fabric around his neck somebody must have put it around him to stop the bleeding.

When he looked up Jace was there Izzy hovering beside him. "Alec.." it comes out almost a whisper. Jace's hair looks like a halo around his head Alec realizes.

He's suddenly desperate. He doesn't want to die without telling him. The pain is back it comes back with the ferocity of a lion. With a gasp, he cries out in pain "Jace-" he looks at this boy he's been hopelessly in love with for years. And before he can even think high off of adrenaline and pain. The words slip "I love you." he can hear Izzy take in a sharp breath. Jace stays quiet his face blank. Alec laughs again warm and irony blood bubbling up again. He isn't thinking pain is fogging up his mind along with the fear of death.

The world goes dark then. He wakes up not long after a couple of days maybe. When he opens his eyes the one and only Magnus Bane is sitting by his bed. "Oh, look who's come back to the land of the living!" his eyes flash around Alec's face as he sits up. "Magnus? what're you doing here?" Magnus grinned at him "Well let's see, I just happened to do everyone a favor in saving your ass." Alec was confused for about 2 seconds when everything came back to him. His face burned at the memories of his utter stupidity. "Oh my god," he muttered as he buried his face in his hands. He barely had time to wallow in his embarrassment when the door opened "Alec, your awake!" Jace's voice only made his embarrassment grow. "As it seems that my work here is done, I will take my leave. I do expect I will be given a great thanks for my utter kindness." Magnus said as he took his leave. Jace soon took his place beside Alec's bed, "How are you feeling? You took a pretty nasty swipe back there, had us all pretty worried."

"Oh right that, hah I'm ok. Feeling a bit weak," he replied finally taking his head out of his hands. He was still avoiding eye contact with Jace the embarrassment of his stupidity keeping him from looking at the boy in front of him. "Alec," he made a noncommital noise in response. "Alec," Jace was more firm in his wording now. "Yes?" he could now feel his eyes boring into him. "Alec you idiot, look at me." at this, Alec looked up he sighed before Jace could speak he started rambling. "I'm sorry about earlier." his face heated up as he looked Jace in the eyes. "I wasn't thinking, ya know? My brain was all fogged up with pain, don't take me too seriously." a forced laugh came out of him as Jace looked at him. "I was being pretty stupid, not thinking and-" Jace scowled at him "Shut up." Alec stared at him "What?" why in the world was he telling him to shut up? "You heard me, shut up." Alec continued to stare at him "What do you mean shut up?" Jace scowled "Alec, you're so stupid sometimes." "What the hell do you mean by that you ass-" before he could finish his sentence Jace was grabbing him by the shoulders, he didn't even have time to register what was happening until Jace pressed his lips to his and pulled back before he could react. "You just." he could still feel the feeling of Jace's lips on his. "Kissed me?" Jace nodded "Yep" alec was now utterly confused. "But why?" Jace shook his head in exasperation "Why do you think? I love you too." Alec's face heated up before he broke out in a small smile. "You do?" he said as he went in for another kiss.
